Hi caregivers! My name is Dylan, and I’m currently looking for one-time jobs since I’m currently in graduate school! I am currently pursuing my Masters in Speech Language Pathology at Emerson College. I previously attended the University of Connecticut where I studied Communication Sciences and American Sign Language. My experience working with children started in 2022. In the summer of 2022, my first job was at a summer camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children. It was an overnight camp where I also taught archery. Following that experience, I decided to pursue more experiences in childcare and was hired at an early care and education center that I worked at part time while at UConn. During winter and summer breaks I often babysat and dogsat for many families. I also have experience working at a children’s fitness club within the gym I used to go to in my hometown. My most recent experiences have been working with children 3-17 years old as a Teacher of the Deaf during the 2[removed] school year. So far, as a graduate student clinician I’ve worked with infants, toddlers and school-age children. I do not have much experience with seniors, however, my first job was working as a waiter at a retirement home!

I am a tutor who thrives on helping k-8 students work more successfully in reading and writing. Special Education and literacy are my background with a solid foundation in The Science of Reading and Guided Reading, remedial reading and writing. I have 20 years of experience and a very nurturing manner. I prepare 3/4 year old with readiness skills for school also. I have several parent and teacher references. My skills include working with beginning, intermediate and advanced learners, mostly special needs learners, mild to moderate and English language learners in reading and writing. I also do childcare with ages three to ten. We work on creative play, storytelling, books, language, behaviors, sports, exercise and more, whatever your child's interests are is okay with me. My fees range according to service providing and number of students/children. I work mostly afternoons and evenings for the school year according to my primary position.
