I have worked at Perkins School for the Blind in special education as a teacher’s assistant for a little over a year with teenagers and young adults. I also have been a volunteer tutor with elementary aged kids for a little over two years. I love art and music (I have a guitar I love to bring), sensory, getting energy out and being silly.

Hi! I’m Adelaide, a senior majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Belmont University. Originally from Quincy, IL, I grew up as the oldest of four sisters, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Alongside babysitting for other families, I’ve developed a strong background in childcare and responsibility from a young age. In addition to my family experience, I worked as a caregiver for two years during my sophomore and junior years, gaining hands-on experience caring for individuals across a wide age range. In college, I babysat, tutored, and coached a girls’ soccer team, and I also spent a summer as a camp counselor. I’m still in touch with some of those families today, which means so much to me. I love getting to know each kid’s personality, cheering them on, and being a good mentor — and a little bit of an older sister, too. I am in New York City for the summer in the middle of my MSW program at Simmons University.
