Greetings! Mature, reliable, caring, and attentive Nursing professional available with own transportation. Perfect for Out-of-town Guests! I've been a Pediatric Nurse for over 35 years, in several major NYC children's Hospitals, specializing in Infant/Toddler, NICU, and PICU. My latest degree is PhD-Nursing. I am fingerprinted and background checked because I volunteer with foster children. I'm smoke-free, pet -free (but love pets), perfume-free, and have had my COVID, Tdap, flu & pneumococcal shots, so your child with respiratory sensitivities will be safe with me. Now a Full-Time Tenured Pediatric Nursing professor, I really enjoy being around healthy children, and am also available to sit your ill or medically fragile children. I not only know Pediatric CPR, but have successfully performed it multiple times in the ICU. I have RN and PNP licenses in NY and NJ. Having worked at a major Jewish hospital, I also learned how to keep your household Kosher, if needed. I love babysitting, and have always enjoyed caring for children in their own home. My friends have 10 kids and I'm the only person they will leave them all with - especially for the weekend! And yes - happy to show you an ID, a valid COVID Excelsior Pass, and BLS, First Aid & PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) cards (all valid until July 2023).Your kids are SAFE with me! Education - PhD - Nursing- CUNY Graduate Center, Pediatric NP - Adelphi University, MS Nursing - College of New Rochelle, BS Nursing - University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!!) During the academic year, my primary daytime commitment is to my students, so I am NOT usually available during the day (unless I have specifically applied for your job.)
“Susan helped us with puppy sitting during some of my work travel. She was professional and flexible with scheduling and kind and patient with our brand new pup, who is still very young and needy. We would recommend her to anyone and would definitely use her again.”
Dear parents, I am a 35year old nanny from Poland. I graduated from Oklahoma City University with a dual degree BA in cello performance and liberal arts and obtained my MA in Public International Law/ Human Rights degree from John Jay college. I have eight years of experience working as a nanny and I can provide multiple references upon request. Through college, I took classes in child development and had various opportunities to work as a tutor as well as a full-time and part-time babysitter to families with children of varying ages, including newborns. I am responding to your advertisement because I am a very honest, responsible, loving, and warm person, truly committed to any job I do but especially those in childcare. I have found so much joy working closely with many families and helping their children develop. I am looking to find a nice family to work with occasionally and help out as much as possible; and always with a smile. I have been told many times how much parents value my preparation for work. I always come up with different activities for the children to keep them mentally stimulated but also to ensure they're having fun with their imaginations and creativity! In a typical day, the children would participate in Arts and Crafts projects, music lessons, story-telling, and many safe and fun games. I always make my activity plans based on what children are interested in, as well as the activities that their parents prefer. I believe in the importance of routine, but as always, I put the parents concerns first. In addition, I pride myself on always helping with cooking, laundering, and cleaning. I hope I get the chance to meet with you and I thank you so much for your time and consideration. If You have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Kind Regards, Agata
I started working as a mother's helper at the age of 10, and have been babysitting ever since! In high school I worked as a nanny 20 hours a week for a wonderful family with two infants, and also volunteered at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital to ensure children separated from their parents for long periods of time were receiving the critical attention needed to develop their gross and fine motor skills. During college I worked as an occasional sitter for many different families in the D.C. area. I have been living in New York for about 5 years now and work full-time as a Copywriter at a creative agency, so I just take a few babysitting jobs each month on nights and weekend :) For five summers when I was 18-23, I worked as a counselor at Camp Onaway, a sleep-away camp for girls ages 8-15 in New Hampshire. After graduating from the University of Maryland in December 2016, I worked at a Swiss boarding school as a dorm counselor, Spanish Instructor, and as a ski instructor. In short, I LOVE hanging out with kids both younger and older! I have ample experience with newborns, infants, and toddlers, and I love kids of all ages and needs. I have babysat for children with special needs and behavioral differences, and I am always happy to accommodate any communication/behavioral/educational methods that your family prefers (though I do not have any specific certifications or training for different needs). I speak Russian and Spanish and I am happy to help children learning either language by simply speaking to them or working on certain vocabulary. I am happy to tidy the house or help out in the kitchen when babysitting, help with homework, run errands, etc. Thanks for your consideration!
Hi! My name is Miel, and I am a 20-year-old student at the University of Texas at Austin, where I study Health and Society on the pre-med track. I have been babysitting for several years and have experience caring for children of different ages, including helping with homework, preparing meals and snacks, organizing activities, managing bedtime routines, and ensuring children feel safe and supported while their parents are away. In addition to babysitting, I worked with first graders through The GO Project, a nonprofit educational program in New York City. In this role, I helped students with reading and math, supported classroom activities, encouraged positive behavior, and built meaningful relationships with children from diverse backgrounds. This experience strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to connect with young children in a fun and engaging way. I am CPR-aware, highly responsible, organized, and dependable. As a pre-med student with experience volunteering in pediatric healthcare settings, I am comfortable remaining calm under pressure and attentive to children's needs. I love arts and crafts, reading, outdoor activities, games, and helping children learn and build confidence. Families describe me as warm, mature, trustworthy, and someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with kids. My goal is always to create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and cared for.
“Excellent babysitter.”
Currently a media professional, I’ve always loved caring for others. I grew up with the mindset that if you take care of your community, your community will take care of you. I worked at my family’s daycare center for 5 years while in high school and some throughout college. While in college a volunteered at an underserved after school program, where I established a library and secured grants to expand the program. Working with families and children, while helping them flourish has always been a passion.
“My dog is really shy and anxious, but bonded really well with Olivia. She sent photos and videos throughout to show me he was having the best time!”
