Hi, my name is Rachel. I am a 37-year-old Italian mother of two (an 8-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl), I come from a large Italian family, plenty of experience with multitasking. I am ready to re-enter the workforce after spending the last 6 years as a full-time homemaker. As the primary provider for my children, I am motivated, dependable, and ready to work. I bring over 13 years of experience working with children from newborns through age 16. I also have nearly 16 years of experience as a caregiver in assisted living settings and providing care for family members. In addition, I have professional experience in housekeeping and cooking, including weekly meal prep tailored to specific dietary needs. I am very comfortable with animals of all kinds and enjoy working in homes with pets. I have reliable transportation and can commute in any type of weather. I have lived in Nevada for over 2 years and previously lived in Colorado, where I worked as a professional driver for about 6 years with a pilot car company supporting oversized loads. I also have hands-on construction experience from working in my father’s business. I am skilled at building, basic handyman tasks, and I am comfortable using computers and learning new systems. If you think I would be a good fit for your family, home, or business, I would love to connect. Please feel free to message me to set up a time to talk or meet. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Hello! I’m Shanda, and caring for children has been my passion for many years. I have 36 college units in Early Childhood Education and have had the privilege of working with children of all ages—from preschool through high school—including children with special needs. Throughout my career I’ve served as a preschool director, worked in elementary, middle, and high school settings, coordinated large Vacation Bible School programs, and organized monthly respite nights for families of children with special needs, giving parents a chance to rest while their children enjoyed a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. Today I work for the local school district and also teach preschool part-time. While experience is important, I believe the heart behind the work matters just as much. I’ve always been drawn to children who need a little extra patience, encouragement, or someone who truly sees them. Whether a child is outgoing, shy, energetic, anxious, or simply having a difficult day, I strive to create a calm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, respected, and valued. Families often describe me as patient, dependable, and kind. I enjoy reading stories, doing crafts, playing games, spending time outdoors, helping with homework, and encouraging children’s curiosity and confidence. My goal is for every child in my care to know they are important, capable, and cared for. I would love the opportunity to get to know your family and provide dependable, compassionate care for your children. “Some of the most meaningful relationships I’ve built have been with children others found challenging, because I believe every child deserves to be understood before they are judged.”
I’ve worked with children, seniors, and animals in various settings over the years. I’ve taught English to children in foreign countries, worked at day cares, kids art booths, baby sat, worked with seniors in hospice care. Growing up I helped take care of my grandmother. I’ve had dogs my whole life and have worked with exotic animals that were rescues.
Hi, my name is Amanda. I’ve been a professional nanny over 10 years. I have taken many early childhood education courses, including the child psychology, health safety and nutrition, practices and principles of teaching young children, child and adolescent growth and development, child family and community, introduction to curriculum, and teaching in a diverse society. I started baby sitting when I was 16, and have always loved working with children. I am very patient, and have experience with developmentally appropriate activities and positive child guidance. If you choose, I can bring crafts and other activities such as story time with felt boards depending on your child's interest. I am also a great date night sitter. I live in Reno, but I’m open to travel up to South lake I do charge a flat rate travel fee to cover gas. Thank you for taking the time to consider me.
“Amanda took excellent care of our 8 month old son. We were visiting Reno and gone for the evening for a wedding. Amanda brought some children books to read, and communicated with us promptly when our baby was refusing his bottle of breastmilk. She managed to get him to drink some formula, and easily put him to sleep when it was bedtime. Highly recommend Amanda!”
Hello, I am Hailey, I have been babysitting 3 boys (age 2, 4, and 4) and 4 girls (3, 4, 8, and 10). I began caring for my first family at the age of 14 when she was 3. I cared for her for 7 years, adding on her 3 siblings (girls) over the years as they have been born. My second family was a single grandmother with 2 grandchildren (boys 2 and 4). I cared for her grandchildren for her while she is at work. I also help care for her mother who is in hospice, however she moved out of state early last year. My third family has custody of her grandchild with her husband. I cared for their grandchild while grandma was at work while her husband was sleeping for his job. She retired and no longer needs care for her grandchild (boy 4). I worked with a 9 year old and a 6 year old for a few hours in the morning before taking them to school for almost 3 years. Occasionally I babysat for a family with a toddler and an 11 year old for about 2 years. I have done pick up and drop off, cleaning, laundry, errands, arts and crafts (jewelry, painting, coloring, dioramas, ect.), music (trumpet, guitar, drums, euphonium, baritone, tuba, French horn), help with homework, cooking and baking, bedtime routine, school routine, sports (football, baseball, and basketball), and more. I have done a few semesters at Skyline Community College in San Bruno.
“Hailey was amazing - she communicated, showed up on time and did the required assignments with no problem. Definitely a gold star!”
