I genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Hi! I’m Marley — a junior at NYU studying Early Childhood and Special Education. I have experience caring for children from infancy through elementary school, with a background in both educational and recreational settings. This past summer, I worked as a nanny caring for a 15-month-old in the mornings and two boys (ages 4 and 5) in the afternoons. I planned engaging daily activities, incorporated vocabulary and reading enrichment, and organized outings to support social, cognitive, and physical development. I also safely transported the children to and from activities. Previously, I worked as a substitute teacher at the Burlington YMCA, supporting classrooms for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years, and as a camp counselor at an all-outdoor adventure camp, encouraging kids to explore, try new things, and build confidence. I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun. I bring energy, patience, and creativity to every day, tailoring activities to each child’s needs and interests.
“I have known Marley for many years as neighbors and for occasional babysitting. We ended up hiring Marley to babysit our one year old for half days this past summer and she was absolutely amazing with my son. Marley was prompt, professional and always exploring new ways to help him engage and learn with the world around him. Marley was great about taking my son to the library, playground and doing other age appropriate activities, even when it was too hot to go outside. Marley used her early education curriculum to suggest toys and activities. My son's language and development flourished under Marley's care and we hope to have her help us again in the future! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for childcare.”
Hello! I am a graduate student studying for my degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. I am looking for a part-time job outside of my career to help pay for my student loans. I have been familiar with childcare since I was 13 years old! I have been caring for my siblings after school, neighborhood kids, and also infants in my family. I know people don’t typically take familial gigs seriously, but these were paid. In these babysitting jobs, I’d be responsible for bathing, doing homework, entertaining, cooking, and putting the child to sleep. I’d also do cleanly duties around the house to keep it tidy for the parents to come home. I also do have experience in working in a children’s day camp. In the day camp, I was responsible for teaching the children, caring for their safety, taking them on field trips, and taking care of their dietary needs. I have immense attention to detail and adaptability, so if you need any services that I haven’t mentioned, please feel free to talk to me about it. I am fine with pets. I am just unfamiliar with precise care, so as long as directions are provided I’d be good to go. I do have an allergy to cats. However my severity depends on the breed and my proximity to the cat. I’d love to work with you! Hope to hear from you soon.
