Hello NYC (and traveling) Families, I have 17+ years of childcare experience, including several years working in NYC charter schools. I am currently attending graduate school full-time. I'm CPR/AED and First Aid certified and up to date on all immunizations. What I love most about childcare is helping children build confidence, develop new skills, and discover their interests. In my free time, I enjoy reading, trying new restaurants, hiking, and traveling. If you have any questions, feel free to message me or schedule a FaceTime. Happy to connect! :)
Hey my name is Valentina. I’m a professional, reliable nanny with many years of experience caring for ages 7 months old to 16 years old. I’m especially strong with routines and transitions feeding, naps, play, homework, and bedtime so children feel secure and days run smoothly. Families describe me as structured, flexible, and hands-on. I balance warmth and playfulness with clear boundaries and consistency, which works well for both young children and school-aged kids. I help with taking children to appointments and afterschool activities, support homework, meal prep, and light cleaning, and provide occasional date-night babysitting. I keep parents updated regularly, sharing how their child is doing throughout the day. I take care of the details from activities to routines so children feel secure and parents know everything is handled. I also provide reliable pet care and have plenty of experience keeping animals on schedule. I’m comfortable feeding, walking, washing, and administering medication as needed. I have hands-on experience with my own two dogs and a cat, so I understand the attention, routine, and care pets need to stay happy and healthy. I’m also in college attaining my degree in digital marketing. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your children and hope to hear from you soon!
“Valentina was wonderful! Great communicator, was on time, text to keep me aware, and my son loved her.”
My name is Luke and I'm a graduate of New York University ('16) with a BFA in Drama. Some of my favorite things to do are go to Broadway shows (obviously), playing tennis, writing, and going for a run along the Hudson River while jamming to Taylor Swift. I enjoy all things Harry Potter and will talk with anyone about it for hours. I've been babysitting in various capacities since I was 14. First, it was occasionally babysitting my neighbor's daughters while she cleaned the house or ran to the store. After that, I did some student teaching in first and second grade classrooms for a year, along with babysitting kids who were involved with my high school's musical productions. Just before graduating college in 2016, I transitioned into date night and after-school babysitting in NYC, working for close to 200 different families (so far)! My favorite thing about babysitting is making a connection with the kids I work with. Relationships are very valuable to me, regardless of if it's my family, my friends, or the people I work with. Being able to know that I've made not only a bond with the kids, but a positive impact as well, is the most rewarding part of my job. When it comes to working with kids, I've basically done it all at one time or another. Among my favorite jobs have been being a nanny for a number of incredible families after-school; working at a children's theatre in Manhattan, where I taught musical theatre classes for ages 3-14; and working as a tennis and theatre counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Maine, where I taught girls ages 7-16 and was a bunk counselor for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Most recently, I've worked at several day camps in Manhattan - Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp, where I was the On-Site Program Manager for two years, and Steve and Kate's Camp at Kips Bay, where I was the Site Director. I am currently the PS 527 Program Director for the Imogen Foundation, an after-school program focusing on SEL and emotional literacy. I am very skilled in managing large groups of kids. As a camp counselor, you quickly learn to think on your feet because there's nothing more stressful than dealing with 200 incredibly bored kids stuck inside on a rainy day. Through my teaching experience, I've learned quite a bit of classroom management and how to command the attention of a room. Whether I'm working with one kid or several dozen, I have the experience to make the most of any situation. I look forward to hearing from you! :)
“Luke was very flexible and good with our toddler. ”
I'm a NYC native that has lived and worked as a nanny in both NYC and LA. I graduated from NYU with a BA in Creative Writing and minored in Early Childhood Education - which has benefited me greatly in my time spent with kids! I am from a large family and grew up around a bunch of kids. I've been babysitting for ten years, have been a full time nanny for 5, and have also taught as a children's music teacher, and summer camp swim instructor. I pride myself on being responsible, outgoing, and honest. A hectic household has always been familiar to me; and is sometimes where I feel most comfortable! I'm a runner, a writer, and live a really healthy and active lifestyle. As a nanny, I always try to lead with kindness and curiosity. I really believe in following the interests of the kids and allowing them to have safe and creative spaces to explore childhood and the various emotions that come with that. I'm just as comfortable taking a 3 year old to a museum as I am playing soccer or freeze-tag in the park -- and always try to find fun in the dull moments! I'm currently looking for full time positions. *I charge for full time booked if cancelled within 12 hours
“Elise was wonderful! We were just visiting New York for the weekend, and felt a little nervous leaving our kids with someone we didn't really know. But we did a short call with Elise prior to our visit and immediately could tell that she is incredible! Trustworthy, kind, and our two kiddos took to her immediately. Would not hesitate to hire her again.”
Hi my name is Ximena. I worked as a first grade teacher in Colombia, I came to the US as an au pair and worked for a family for 2.5 years I took care of 2 kids they were 1.6 and 5.
