I spent several years as a stay-at-home-mom while volunteering at kid's school and occasionally substitute teaching. I previously worked as a "Teacher of Speech & Hearing Handicapped" in NYC public schools and an Early Intervention therapist and a special education preschool teacher in Florida. I have a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and a Master's degree in Applied Research. I got sidetracked reentering the workforce with a breast cancer diagnosis but now I am cancer free and ready to work! I've met other urban sitter caregivers at my local library and I think this would be a great fit! I am a voracious reader and also enjoy finding new children's books with the perfect amount of text and simple illustration - However I love kids reading anything appropriate.
