Hi! I’m a happy, loving, fun, and outgoing mom to a curious and energetic 3-year-old boy. I’m also an Early Childhood Education and Special Education major, as well as a paraprofessional with the NYC Department of Education, with hands-on experience working with children in both classroom and childcare settings. Throughout my college program, I complete approximately 120 hours of supervised fieldwork each semester, working with children of different ages in early childhood centers and classrooms. These experiences have helped me learn how to support children’s development while creating an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, engaged, and cared for. Caring for children has been a part of my life long before college. I grew up in a large family and began helping care for my younger brother when I was 10 years old. As a teenager, I also worked through Summer Youth Employment at his daycare. Throughout adulthood, I’ve continued caring for children in a variety of roles, schedules, and family situations. As both a mom and future early childhood special education teacher, I understand how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust with your child. Hi! I'm Morgan and I have almost two decades of childcare experience. I've lived in New York for the past 9 years and currently based in Bed-Stuy. Originally from Orlando, Florida, I made my way north by way of UNC-Chapel Hill, where I graduated before ending up in Brooklyn. Over my nearly decade in NYC, I've worked with several families long-term, and I've also spent time as a long-term substitute teacher in Florida. I performed on Broadway through my teens, then shifted into nonprofit work and volunteer teaching. I lived and taught at a school in India for close to two years, worked at a summer camp for refugee youth, and have held roles spanning operations, client experience, and learning and development. All of it has made me someone who pays close attention and builds trust with the people I work with. I emphasize technology-free, creative, and confidence-building play. I think carefully about who each child is and what they specifically need, and I bring that same intentionality to everything from an afternoon activity to a homework session. Of course, I still love a fun movie night! :) I've held certifications in Infant and Pediatric First Aid and CPR and am happy to be re-certified. Hi! My name is Lily, I work and live full time in New York, and I went to Virginia Tech for school. I love being a babysitter and I’m trying to find opportunities to continue baby-sitting here. I have been baby-sitting since I was about 14 years old. I’ve sat kids 9-11, and my younger cousins who are 3, 7, 10, and 13. I am a kind, thoughtful and creative person who likes to craft, knit, read and play board games in my free time. I love kids and I am a patient, responsible, and caring individual.
