Greetings Everyone, my name is Sacnitec. I previously attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I majored in criminology. I am currently working as a paralegal for the New York City Law Department. I have been working with kids since I was 15 and have loved it ever since. I started off by working as a camp counselor. Over the last few years I have worked as a nanny full-time, part-time and occasionally. I have also worked as an assistant teacher at the Brooklyn Preschool of Science. I love getting crafty and hands on with kids! During my free time I like to workout and play soccer. I love pets. I am both a cat and dog mom! P.S. I will be unavailable to babysit May11- May24.
“Professional, super sweet and overall really a great babysitter !! Highly recommend her. ”
Hello! My name is Evelyn. I’m 27 years old and a caring, reliable, and professional babysitter with over six years of experience working with children. I am currently pursuing my MBA at Baruch College in New York after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. My studies gave me a deeper understanding of child development, family dynamics, communication, and social behavior, which helps me better understand each child’s unique needs and build positive relationships with both children and parents. After attending college and working with children for three years, I proudly served four years in the U.S. Army, where I strengthened my leadership, responsibility, patience, and organizational skills. My military experience helped me become calm under pressure, dependable, and adaptable, qualities that I bring to every family I work with. Caring for children has always been my passion, and I love creating a safe, happy, and engaging environment through play, learning, and positive interaction. In my free time, I enjoy working out, reading, cooking, and staying organized. Spanish is my first language, and I’m happy to speak Spanish with children if parents would like to introduce or reinforce the language at home. I’m proud to have many wonderful reviews and repeat families. References are available upon request.
I am a native New Mexican currently living in the South Bronx. I have a bachelors degree in Anthropology from UNM. I’m a flight attendant for a major airline. I fly part time & currently have both doses of the Pfizer vaccine plus booster ! In lieu of recent events, my usual flying schedule has decreased which has given me the opportunity to stay grounded in the city. I have extended experience babysitting & handling stressful situations. I love animals, art, music and am happy to share my admiration for these hobbies with any child eager to expand their curious minds. I love to hear and learn about any infant care routines that make your baby feel safe and loved. Looking forward to helping out with occasional jobs.
“Showed up on time and was great with the kids! Appreciated the regular updates and communication.”
Hello NYC (and traveling) Families, I have 17+ years of childcare experience, including several years working in NYC charter schools. I am currently attending graduate school full-time. I'm CPR/AED and First Aid certified and up to date on all immunizations. What I love most about childcare is helping children build confidence, develop new skills, and discover their interests. In my free time, I enjoy reading, trying new restaurants, hiking, and traveling. If you have any questions, feel free to message me or schedule a FaceTime. Happy to connect! :)
My name is Luke and I'm a graduate of New York University ('16) with a BFA in Drama. Some of my favorite things to do are go to Broadway shows (obviously), playing tennis, writing, and going for a run along the Hudson River while jamming to Taylor Swift. I enjoy all things Harry Potter and will talk with anyone about it for hours. I've been babysitting in various capacities since I was 14. First, it was occasionally babysitting my neighbor's daughters while she cleaned the house or ran to the store. After that, I did some student teaching in first and second grade classrooms for a year, along with babysitting kids who were involved with my high school's musical productions. Just before graduating college in 2016, I transitioned into date night and after-school babysitting in NYC, working for close to 200 different families (so far)! My favorite thing about babysitting is making a connection with the kids I work with. Relationships are very valuable to me, regardless of if it's my family, my friends, or the people I work with. Being able to know that I've made not only a bond with the kids, but a positive impact as well, is the most rewarding part of my job. When it comes to working with kids, I've basically done it all at one time or another. Among my favorite jobs have been being a nanny for a number of incredible families after-school; working at a children's theatre in Manhattan, where I taught musical theatre classes for ages 3-14; and working as a tennis and theatre counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Maine, where I taught girls ages 7-16 and was a bunk counselor for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Most recently, I've worked at several day camps in Manhattan - Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp, where I was the On-Site Program Manager for two years, and Steve and Kate's Camp at Kips Bay, where I was the Site Director. I am currently the PS 527 Program Director for the Imogen Foundation, an after-school program focusing on SEL and emotional literacy. I am very skilled in managing large groups of kids. As a camp counselor, you quickly learn to think on your feet because there's nothing more stressful than dealing with 200 incredibly bored kids stuck inside on a rainy day. Through my teaching experience, I've learned quite a bit of classroom management and how to command the attention of a room. Whether I'm working with one kid or several dozen, I have the experience to make the most of any situation. I look forward to hearing from you! :)
“Luke was very flexible and good with our toddler. ”
