Hello! My name is Jasmine and I’m offering babysitting services for all ages. I provide the perfect balance of fun, care, and routine. I know how important it is to make sure your kids stick to their routine, and I’ll be able to do that! I’m pretty funny and great at entertaining kids. Kids usually gravitate towards me! My inner child is very much alive so whether they’re going to the park or staying home, I’ll make sure the kids are occupied with games, story time, or homework. During my undergrad I was part of the Barnard Babysitting Agency for at least 3 years (I can't remember if I joined my freshman year or sophomore year). During that time I had several consistent babysitting jobs. I mostly had toddlers, but on occasion I had young children around 8 years old. I also babysat twin teenagers for a short time. I have experience changing diapers, cooking food, heating up food in a household with no microwave, and some housekeeping (dishes, tidying up). I have experience taking kids to afterschool activities like karate, the park, and the children's museum. To show I go the extra mile, I don’t have piano training, but I once helped one of the children I was babysitting practice their piano lessons. Hello! I’m Isabella and I am new to the city! I was born and raised in Venice Beach, CA. I moved to New York to be closer to my family who live on the east coast and to live with my best friend who will be attending graduate school at Columbia! I studied Psychology at UC Santa Cruz where I focused on childhood and adolescent development. Throughout college I was a nanny and worked at a local preschool where I was able to conduct my senior research project on emotional regulation in preschool aged children. I formed strong and lasting relationships with the families I worked with and stay in contact to this day. Many families I worked with prioritized Montessori schooling methods, so I am familiar with that style of learning. My first year out of college, I worked as a Teacher’s Aide at a school for special needs children. I worked with children ages 7-14 who had varying IEP’s for things like autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, among others. I was trained in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) methods to de-escalate high-stress situations. I am a highly patient, playful, and responsible person, and I take pride in working with families and children. In the next couple of years, I would like to go back to school for a Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy, as I am interested in relationship dynamics and communication strategies. In my free time, I love to be active and outside! I’ve played volleyball my whole life, so I am eager to find a rec league in the city so I can play. I also love to travel and am lucky that my family prioritized this growing up, so I’ve been lucky to travel with them! My experience as a nanny has varied depending on each family’s needs, but I am familiar with school pickup/drop-off, snack and meal planning, homework help, bed/bath time, and planning daily activities. I have experience and am comfortable with overnights after getting to know the family and their children, as well as traveling as needed.
