Hello! My name is Jasmine and I’m offering babysitting services for all ages. I provide the perfect balance of fun, care, and routine. I know how important it is to make sure your kids stick to their routine, and I’ll be able to do that! I’m pretty funny and great at entertaining kids. Kids usually gravitate towards me! My inner child is very much alive so whether they’re going to the park or staying home, I’ll make sure the kids are occupied with games, story time, or homework. I have no problem helping with homework! By the time you get home, the homework will be done and toys will be cleaned up…unless they’re still playing of course. I went to Barnard College where I majored in psychology. I graduated in 2015. During my undergrad I was part of the Barnard Babysitting Agency for at least 3 years (I can't remember if I joined my freshman year or sophomore year). During that time I had several consistent babysitting jobs. I mostly had toddlers, but on occasion I had young children around 8 years old. I also babysat twin teenagers for a short time. I have experience changing diapers, cooking food, heating up food in a household with no microwave, and some housekeeping (dishes, tidying up). I have experience taking kids to afterschool activities like karate, the park, and the children's museum. To show I go the extra mile, I don’t have piano training, but I once helped one of the children I was babysitting practice their piano lessons. On that day he improved and I learned how to play Ol McDonald Had a Farm. In my family, I have a baby cousin who I have babysat since she was just a few months old (she's 13 now!) I’m great with kids and also pets! If you have a cat, dog, snake, bird, hamster, I’m a lover of all animals and I’m not allergic to any!
“Jasmine Ruiz has babysat my 13-year-old daughter, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her! Jasmine is kind, caring, responsible, and very personable. She has a natural ability to connect with teenagers and understands their language, interests, and personalities, which makes such a difference. My daughter feels comfortable, happy, and, most importantly, safe in Jasmine’s care. Jasmine is not someone who simply supervises children; she genuinely engages with them, plays games, interacts, and makes sure they have a great time. She is also a great cook and wonderful with animals, which is an added bonus! One of the qualities I appreciate most about Jasmine is her communication. At the end of each day, she provides thoughtful feedback about how everything went. She is very observant and vigilant, and if she notices any concerns, she makes sure parents are informed. As a mother, having someone who is trustworthy, attentive, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children gives me tremendous peace of mind. I highly recommend Jasmine Ruiz to any family looking for a dependable, compassionate, and engaging babysitter. She is truly a gem! ❤️”
Hi! My name is Cindy, and I am a dedicated and nurturing sitter with over 8 years of experience caring for children of various ages. I have a passion for creating a safe and engaging environment where kids can thrive while having fun. My experience ranges from babysitting toddlers to helping with homework for school-age children. I'm excited to bring my enthusiasm and care to your family!
Hello! I’m Isabella and I am new to the city! I was born and raised in Venice Beach, CA. I moved to New York to be closer to my family who live on the east coast and to live with my best friend who will be attending graduate school at Columbia! I studied Psychology at UC Santa Cruz where I focused on childhood and adolescent development. Throughout college I was a nanny and worked at a local preschool where I was able to conduct my senior research project on emotional regulation in preschool aged children. I formed strong and lasting relationships with the families I worked with and stay in contact to this day. Many families I worked with prioritized Montessori schooling methods, so I am familiar with that style of learning. My first year out of college, I worked as a Teacher’s Aide at a school for special needs children. I worked with children ages 7-14 who had varying IEP’s for things like autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, among others. I was trained in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) methods to de-escalate high-stress situations. I am a highly patient, playful, and responsible person, and I take pride in working with families and children. In the next couple of years, I would like to go back to school for a Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy, as I am interested in relationship dynamics and communication strategies. In my free time, I love to be active and outside! I’ve played volleyball my whole life, so I am eager to find a rec league in the city so I can play. I also love to travel and am lucky that my family prioritized this growing up, so I’ve been lucky to travel with them! My experience as a nanny has varied depending on each family’s needs, but I am familiar with school pickup/drop-off, snack and meal planning, homework help, bed/bath time, and planning daily activities. I have experience and am comfortable with overnights after getting to know the family and their children, as well as traveling as needed. I look forward to connecting and seeing if we would be a good fit:)
Hello! My name is Zara and I’m a responsible, caring, and energetic person who truly enjoys working with children. I have experience caring for kids of all ages from infants to middle schoolers and I always make sure each child feels safe, supported, and engaged. I’m currently a college student pursuing a degree Services I offer: babysitting, homework help light meal prep, and organizing fun, educational activities. I can also help with light household tasks if needed. Experience: I’ve cared for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children through both family and volunteer settings. I enjoy creative play, reading time, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and helping kids learn new skills. Special skills: I’m great at creating learning games, helping with homework, and encouraging positive routines. I also enjoy cooking healthy snacks and doing simple crafts or outdoor play that keep children active and happy. I love making a positive impact on children’s lives and giving parents peace of mind knowing their kids are in good hands!
Hi! My name is Ariana and I’m a responsible and energetic caregiver with years of hands-on experience working with kids in a variety of settings. I’ve spent summers at a relaxed arts and crafts camp for children ages 7–13, leading creative projects, outdoor games, and group activities. I’ve also coached youth soccer for kids ages 3–12, focusing on teamwork, fun, and skill-building. During high school, I worked as a certified lifeguard for four years, which taught me strong safety awareness and emergency readiness — qualities I bring to every caregiving role. In addition to my professional experience, I’ve regularly cared for younger family members and love connecting with kids through creativity, sports, and play. I’m currently finishing my degree at Barnard College of Columbia University, where I’ve continued to nurture my love for learning and teaching. Whether it’s helping with homework, organizing fun activities, or just being a calm and supportive presence, I aim to make kids feel safe, seen, and engaged. Above all, I strive to be as helpful as possible to the families I work with. I’m dependable, patient, and always ready to support in whatever way I can.
