I am a Portland State University graduate with a bachelors of arts in Social Science, minor in psychology and Spanish. I have worked as a Girl Scouts summer activities leader for 23 girls grades first-fourth. As an activities leader, I facilitated science, art and life skills/healthy living. I love creating safe spaces for children to express themselves and be creative. I am a very family oriented person. I am the oldest of three and have spent a lot of my time helping my family raise the small ones in our family. I am currently only available Friday afternoons and weekends. I look forward to getting to know you and meeting your family!
“Karen was communicative, prompt and professional. My kids liked her and said they would want her to babysit again.”
New to Portland, OR, I moved here with my husband and two cats from Nashville, TN so I could study naturopathic medicine at NUNM. Before starting medical school, I worked as a professional nanny and part-time babysitter for 4 years after graduating from Vanderbilt University with my bachelors. I’ve cared for children of all ages from infant to pre-teen and we always find a way to have fun and learn new to things! My responsibilities have included meal prep, drop off and pick up from school or camp, morning and nighttime routines, and general tidying of the house. I would describe myself as punctual, professional, and flexible under pressure. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. I have also house sat and dog watched for a family I had nannied for, where my duties included checking food and water, administering medicine, and taking her for walks. With my variable school schedule, I’m looking for one-time or part-time childcare or pet-care positions. I hope you find me to be a good fit!
Hello my name is Meg. I have 15+ years of baby sitting, 5 years of teaching, and 10 years of pet experience. I have worked with children from the age of infancy to 14. I have a degree in ECE and some SPEDU credits, but have decided to go back to college to change my major and become a child psychologist. I loved working with my students in a classroom setting, but feel that my skills are more necessary to help children develop individually. At this moment my availability is very flexible so take advantage of it while you can!
“Meg was great with our 5 month old. She has a fun personality and was very professional. ”
Hi I’m Andrea! I am a responsible and caring babysitter with hands-on experience working with children through a school child development program. I have two years of experience supporting children’s growth, safety, and daily routines, including working with children with special needs. I have also volunteered as a camp leader, supervising a group of five children, organizing engaging activities, and managing daily schedules from morning wake-ups to bedtime. In addition, I am a certified medical assistant with current BLS certification, as well as adult and pediatric CPR and First Aid training. I have volunteered in elementary school settings and am confident in creating a safe, structured, and positive environment for children of all ages. Additionally, I don’t mind helping out with housework and/or pets! :)
“Andrea was super friendly, conscientious, and kind. Also made my party with kids and adults so much easier!”
My childcare journey began at 12, babysitting in my church nursery, but it was my younger brother’s birth when I was 13 that truly ignited my passion for caring for little ones. Helping raise him next to a hard working single mother showed me how much I love nurturing and guiding children through their early years. Since then, I’ve gained over ten years of experience as a nanny, overnight caregiver, home manager, and preschool teacher. I’ve also worked as a professionally trained doula, further deepening my understanding of child development and family support. I’m also an active person and grew up participating in team sports, including soccer and swim team, which taught me the value of energy, focus, and teamwork—qualities I bring to my caregiving. I love creating fun, engaging moments to help kids learn, grow, and explore their world. With confidence, patience, and a second nature for childcare, I’m here to provide your little ones with exceptional care and attention.
