Hello my name is Meg. I have 15+ years of baby sitting, 5 years of teaching, and 10 years of pet experience. I have worked with children from the age of infancy to 14. I have a degree in ECE and some SPEDU credits, but have decided to go back to college to change my major and become a child psychologist. I loved working with my students in a classroom setting, but feel that my skills are more necessary to help children develop individually. Hi I’m Andrea! I am a responsible and caring babysitter with hands-on experience working with children through a school child development program. I have two years of experience supporting children’s growth, safety, and daily routines, including working with children with special needs. I have also volunteered as a camp leader, supervising a group of five children, organizing engaging activities, and managing daily schedules from morning wake-ups to bedtime. In addition, I am a certified medical assistant with current BLS certification, as well as adult and pediatric CPR and First Aid training. I have volunteered in elementary school settings and am confident in creating a safe, structured, and positive environment for children of all ages. New to Portland, OR, I moved here with my husband and two cats from Nashville, TN so I could study naturopathic medicine at NUNM. Before starting medical school, I worked as a professional nanny and part-time babysitter for 4 years after graduating from Vanderbilt University with my bachelors. I’ve cared for children of all ages from infant to pre-teen and we always find a way to have fun and learn new to things! My responsibilities have included meal prep, drop off and pick up from school or camp, morning and nighttime routines, and general tidying of the house. I would describe myself as punctual, professional, and flexible under pressure. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. I have also house sat and dog watched for a family I had nannied for, where my duties included checking food and water, administering medicine, and taking her for walks. I have current First Aid and CPR. For children, I m a grandmother and enjoy the ages and stages. I am able to help with homework, basic meal preparation. Problem solving and accountability. As a female, infants are something we deal with off snd on throughout life. For seniors, I m a friend and assistant. I have cared for a husband who was down for 4 years. Mostly looking to provide respite care. Or 1-2 half days/ week. Housekeeping and meal preparation as needed. Prefer cats over dogs, due to size and rambunctious nature.
