Hello! My name is Lauren and I am 28 years old. I have a full time job as a financial analyst during the day and I’m usually free after work and occasionally on weekends. I love working with kids, being around children always puts a smile to my face. I have experience in babysitting for 5 years during college and a few years after. I’ve worked with kids in various ages from infant to teenagers. I love being outdoors and taking walks outside if the weather is nice, if not I have a variety of board games and movies to enjoy indoors.
Hello! My name is Lisa and I am 26 years old. I have been working on and off as a nanny and house manager since I graduated high school about 8 years ago. I have had a lot of experience being around children since I was young because my mother had an at-home daycare for 15 years. I helped along side my mom with many of the kids ranging in age from 10 weeks old to about 12 years old. Along with that I also have babysat for many families for the past 12 years. I would say most of my experience is with toddlers but I've also watched after kids up to the age of 15. I have done extended overnight stays(up to 2 weeks), vacationing with families and have experience driving to and from school, friends houses, or sports practice. I’ve also helped families with groceries, meal prep, household chores, doctors appointments and other miscellaneous errands. I have had my license for 10 years now and have a clean record. No accidents or tickets. I have my own car and insurance. Some activities I enjoy doing with kids are reading books, playing at parks or just outside, coloring, helping with homework, playing with Legos or just toys in general, and doing arts and crafts. Before the pandemic, I also worked at a children's gymnastics gym and play-place for a few months before the location I worked at sadly had to close down due to COVID. While there I learned some developmental activities for the kids I specialized with. The age group I focused on while there ranged in age from 14 weeks up to about 4 years old. I’m also fully vaccinated and adult and infant CPR and first aid certified.
“Lisa was great ”
Hi! My name is Sara, and I am a behavior therapist supervisor working with kids with autism full time during the week. I have worked with children with and without special needs for over 15 years now. I have a masters in early childhood special education, and my BCBA, but I have experience babysitting and working with infants-adults. Thanks for your time, and please let me know if you have any other questions!
Hi, my name is Aina and I am a third year at George Washington University. I am currently studying abroad in Colombia and will be back in DC mid January. I am normally looking for occasional babysitting opportunities with children ranging from 2-12 years old. When it comes to child care I have been babysitting for two years in the Atlanta and D.C. area. In addition, I have one full year's worth of experience being an after school teacher for kindergartners and first graders at East Valley Elementary school in Marietta, Georgia. At that job, myself along with a co teacher were responsible for upwards of 20 students each day and in a school environment, that was quite manageable, and I know it'd be an even more enjoyable experience if I had more attention to give to fewer children. I also have college experience part time babysitting with multiple families, three of them who I worked with on a consistent basis. I have lots of energy to give when it comes to caring for children and I can find creative ways to keep them engaged and entertained. Working with children is rewarding for me because I remember how much the adults, beyond my parents helped create wonderful memories during my childhood. I hope to provide that same positive impact for others. I used to own a dog for many years and I am comfortable babysitting in pet households so I also have experience with pet care.
Hi! My name is Paula, and I have nearly 8 years of childcare experience, caring for children from newborns and infants to school-aged children and teenagers. I especially love working with babies and young children. I have experience with early stimulation and age-appropriate activities that support motor, cognitive, and language development. I enjoy teaching through play, including letters, numbers, colors, books, sensory activities, English and Spanish. I also have experience with potty training. I currently work full-time with a wonderful family Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. I have cared for their daughter since she was 5 months old, and she is now 2 years and 5 months old. I also occasionally care for another little girl whom I have known since she was 6 months old and is now 4. I will soon begin a bachelor’s degree related to Early Childhood Development, a field that connects directly with what I love doing. I’m looking for additional babysitting opportunities outside my regular work hours, especially evenings and weekends. I’m open to occasional or consistent care if it’s a good fit for both of us. I’m responsible, patient, caring, reliable, and also a big animal lover, especially dogs. Please feel free to message me!
“Paula is amazing with my 18 month year old. She started working with us when she was 6 months and has been invaluable since. She has helped my daughter crawling and then walking. She is great handling my daughter and German Shepard. She is soo gentle and has soo much patience. keeps her active at all times and constantly challenging her to thrive. She takes her to the library all the time and likes to read. She give me peace of mind and I know when I have to go to work she will be in safe hands.”
