I have 25 plus years of experience caring/teaching children and managing a home. Besides raising three children of my own, I have also taught swimming lessons for 20 summers, substitute taught, homeschooled, cared for twins, managed diabetes, am CPR/AED/First Aid certified, Newborn Care Specialist cert, Birth and Postpartum Doula certs, held live-in and live-out positions in the MD, VA, DC area, and have excellent references. I enjoy taking children on fun outings to the zoo, library, parks, museums, live music, puppet shows, feed the ducks, etc. I am also very active and play or have played most sports. In addition to having fun with the children, I am very educational minded and I teach them at all stages of development--sitting, walking, talking, ABC's, numbers, colors, shapes, reading, manners, respect, thankfulness, kindness, sharing, etc. Kids love me and I love them! I do have a current background check and am happy to bring it with me or send to you by email.
Hello There, I trust you and your family are well! You might notice my last review is from 2020, that’s simply because I’ve been fortunate to work long-term with a few wonderful families since then. My relationships often last for years, and many of the families I’ve supported have truly become like family to me. I hold a Master’s of Arts (M.A.) in School Counseling, & M.Ed in Education Policy and Leadership. I have more than fourteen years of private childcare experience ranging from newborn to 15 years of age. I support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts. My goal has always been to provide children with the necessary care. I am dedicated to creating an atmosphere that is fun, stimulating, encouraging, safe and adaptive to each child's individual needs. Should you have any questions, feel free to message me.
“A miracle worker. Absolutely amazing. Wish she lived in SF.”
Hello! My name is Lisa and I am 26 years old. I have been working on and off as a nanny and house manager since I graduated high school about 8 years ago. I have had a lot of experience being around children since I was young because my mother had an at-home daycare for 15 years. I helped along side my mom with many of the kids ranging in age from 10 weeks old to about 12 years old. Along with that I also have babysat for many families for the past 12 years. I would say most of my experience is with toddlers but I've also watched after kids up to the age of 15. I have done extended overnight stays(up to 2 weeks), vacationing with families and have experience driving to and from school, friends houses, or sports practice. I’ve also helped families with groceries, meal prep, household chores, doctors appointments and other miscellaneous errands. I have had my license for 10 years now and have a clean record. No accidents or tickets. I have my own car and insurance. Some activities I enjoy doing with kids are reading books, playing at parks or just outside, coloring, helping with homework, playing with Legos or just toys in general, and doing arts and crafts. Before the pandemic, I also worked at a children's gymnastics gym and play-place for a few months before the location I worked at sadly had to close down due to COVID. While there I learned some developmental activities for the kids I specialized with. The age group I focused on while there ranged in age from 14 weeks up to about 4 years old. I’m also fully vaccinated and adult and infant CPR and first aid certified.

Hello! My name is Chloé, and I am a college engineering student with several years of professional childcare, tutoring, and after-school teaching experience. My experience ranges from infants through school-age children and includes recurring infant care, after-school care, transportation, homework support, meals, and bedtime routines. As a STEM-focused college student, I’m also comfortable providing homework support. From March 2024 to October 2025, I worked as an after-school teacher at Lafayette Elementary with students from pre-K through fifth grade. I also provided French and math support as an after-school tutor at Maryvale Elementary. My private-family background includes recurring and occasional care for infants through school-age children, as well as full-time infant care, school pickups, transportation, multi-child care, overnight and extended care, and supporting children with ADHD and autism. Most recently, I provided temporary full-time care for a young infant, including bottles and burping, diaper changes, soothing and naps, tummy time, teething support, and age-appropriate play. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and always prioritize safety, structure, and positive engagement. I’m calm, communicative, attentive, and comfortable following established routines. I’m also comfortable with child-related meal preparation, dishes, laundry, and tidying, and I have previous live-in childcare experience. I’m currently looking for recurring care on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday starting October 5th. My availability includes mornings and daytime hours, with greater availability on Wednesdays. I do have occasional pre-scheduled Monday and Tuesday afternoon commitments and can provide those dates in advance. I’m also open to occasional evening, weekend, overnight, and extended care when my schedule allows. I look forward to supporting your family!
“Very attentive & keeps in contact throughout the job. ”
Hello! I am a mother first and foremost, my daughter is now a freshman in college, so I have lots of experience working with children. Years ago, I worked within MCPS in the Pre-School Education Program (provides special education services for ages 3-5). I am currently in school as well, taking online classes but have extra time to explore my passions; education, childcare, health, and nutrition. My daughter has had a severe nut allergy most of her life, so I am used to working with and around allergies. I love the outdoors and hiking, cooking and traveling.
