Working as a volunteer at a shelter clinic inspired my enthusiasm for learning different aspects of pre and post op care. My duties were to record vital signs, administer subcutaneous fluids, and medications, in addition to monitoring animals until conscious. Presently, I foster kittens and cats for a local shelter, preparing them for adoption. Many are medically / socially challenged.
