Hi there! My name is Anya and I’ll be moving to Port Townsend in May. I would love to find a part time nannying/babysitting position! I’ve had a love for teaching children since I was 16, when I first started babysitting. Since then I’ve had many jobs in the field; Outdoor Ed Teacher, Summer Camp Counselor, Associate Toddler Teacher, Waldorf Kindergarten & Elementary school Teacher, and Nanny. I have experience working with a wide range of ages from newborns to teenagers. I have the most experience with ages 1-6 years old! I think it’s so fun getting to see their personalities come out and begin to explore life. I believe establishing trust with children is very important along with having fun and just being a kid! I have a Bachelor’s in Outdoor Education so I love going outside and exploring nature with the kids. I also love doing crafts, reading, coming up with new games to play, baking with them, & letting their imagination and creativity shine through! I am reliable, adventurous, trust worthy, attentive, caring, communicative, and have a very flexible schedule! I’m fine doing house hold chores and am comfortable with dogs & cats as well.

I have always enjoyed working with children. After finishing my degree in Psychology in 2021, I had the opportunity to travel to Brazil to work with the United Nations on one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) for 2 months, where I taught Spanish and organized educational activities for children. My experience in childcare has been truly vocational and inspiring for me. I cared for a boy for six months, from 1. 5 years old until he turned 2. Then, I took care of a second child from 9 months until he was 2. 5 years old. Currently, I am taking care of a little girl since she was 4 months and she is now 2 years old! I enjoy helping children with their emotional growth and daily routines, while fostering a safe environment where they can explore and play.

I am a (current) mental health therapist and experienced nanny looking for time-limited gigs (like vacations) or evening & weekend opportunities, including nannying/babysitting, house sitting, household management, travel nannying, pet sitting or other related tasks. I was a long-term nanny for families in the Seattle area from 2[removed] and 2018-2022. I also have experience with household management and organization/systems implementation to help households run smoothly, as well as ample experience with pet sitting. I have a 10 year old doodle myself who is the sweetest pup you’ll ever meet! I have also nannied for 3 kids for a week while their parents went on vacation, and we had a blast! I am a mental health therapist by day, with afternoons/evenings and weekends available. To be transparent, my long-distance partner and I are looking to relocate in the next year, and we want to save some extra funds to ease the move & extend time off together. I could add more therapy clients, however, I quite enjoy nannying (and other related jobs) and it would be a lovely change of pace. If you’re looking for a long-term person, I won’t be the best fit. But if you need someone to watch your pets on vacation, household organizing, weekend babysitting or vacation coverage, I am great at what I do and will provide a fun, safe, and interactive experience for anyone in my care.
