Hi! I’m 22 years old and was born and raised in the central Seattle area. I’ve been working in childcare for the past four years, and it’s truly something I care deeply about. Supporting children as they learn, grow, and develop their own unique personalities is incredibly rewarding to me. My passion has always been caring for children, and I strive to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where they feel comfortable and valued. I love building meaningful connections not only with the kids I care for, but also with their families. I’m excited for the opportunity to get to know you and your family, and I look forward to becoming a trusted and positive part of your lives.
Hi there! My name is Halie and I have been babysitting for about 15 years now and have been working in childcare for 8 years. I absolutely love work with kids, getting to know them and their needs as well as getting the chance to help out families who need it. I also have been pet/ house sitting for many years as well and love all kinds of pets! I have extensive experience with infants ages 3 months up to elementary school aged children!
Hiya! My name's Brett. I'm a childcare worker and teacher with seven years of professional experience. I currently work as an elementary school tutor in North Seattle. I've previously worked as a behavioral interventionist, student mentor, and summer camp counselor. My life's passion is bringing happiness to children, encouraging their learning and creativity, and just having fun! My childcare approach is based on empathy, responsibility, and compassion. When children are treated with respect and held accountable for their actions, it teaches them to be responsible, independent, and have a strong sense of self-worth. Outside of childcare, I love writing (fiction and poetry), drawing, reading, video games, and spending time in the outdoors. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and trained in various health and safety procedures. I'm fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
I was born in Vermont as the oldest of five children. I have lived in Seattle for almost 20 years and I am the mom of two. My day job is as a Physician Assistant. I love kids of all ages and as a working mom I’m very familiar with how difficult the process of finding childcare providers can be. I am grateful for the opportunity to provide your family reliable and nurturing care that comes from a lifetime of experience.
As an exhibiting artist and former full-time arts educator, I believe in facilitating meaningful, creative, and developmentally appropriate experiences for the children and seniors I care for. I pride myself in my ability to anticipate needs, develop organizational systems for families and care teams, and to communicate clearly. The foundation of my care skills was laid during my first 4 years of nonprofit education work, where I primarily taught creative movement to ages 3-5 and to seniors in residential programs. Later, I nannied an incredible infant from 8mo to 2.5 years and worked for 2 years in an after school enrichment program, and I was a full-time live-in caregiver for a person with brain cancer in their last year of life. I currently substitute teach in ECE classrooms around the city and run my own business as a Licensed Massage Therapist. I believe in getting the people I care for out of the house, moving their bodies in nature, and enjoying everything this city has to offer. Certifications include: MFA in Art (University of Michigan), BFA in Dance (Ohio University), CPR/AED, Massage Therapist License, 200hr Yoga Certification, and Washington Food Handlers Card.
