Hi, my name is Reese! I'm a caring and responsible babysitter who enjoys spending time with kids of all ages. I have plenty of childcare experience and always make sure children are safe, engaged, and having fun. Whether it's playing games, going on walks, reading books, or helping with routines, I’m very attentive and patient. Recently, I worked for a family with 1 infant and 1 toddler. Some of our favorite things to do were going on walks to the playground and library. In addition to babysitting, I would consider myself an active person who enjoys working out, hiking, and horseback riding. I would describe myself as friendly, dependable, respectful, and I always strive to create a positive environment for the families I work with. I recently graduated from college with a bachelors degree and I plan to pursue a career as a paralegal in the future.
“Reese was a great babysitter for our infant son! We would happily work with her again and recommend her for other families. She was very professional, timely, and responded quickly to messages. She took care of our little one while we were out for an evening. She played with him, fed him dinner, and put him through the bed time routine.”
Hello, parents!! My name is Marcela — or as the little ones call me, Cela :) I studied psychology in Brazil and spent five years immersed in childcare there before moving to the US, and for almost three years now I've had the joy of caring for two wonderful local families, watching their babies grow from tiny newborns into happy, curious toddlers. I love imaginative play, art and crafts and exploring the world w/ the little ones - parks, libraries, story times. I'm patient, attentive, and genuinely present. I'm a non-smoker, non-drinker, comfortable driving and happy to share references from the families I currently work with. I'd love the chance to meet you and your kiddo! 💛
Hi! My name is Melinda and I have been babysitting for more than a year and a half. I am entering my freshman year at UW Bothell and I offer childcare. I also work at a summer camp during the summer in my local neighborhood. I work well with kids and know how to lead games and how to entertain them. I am also CPR certified from the training I went through to work at the summer camp. I communicate well and make sure that the kids are safe. I have my license as well and can help with watching kids after practices or extra curriculars. Please feel free to reach out if a babysitter is needed!
I have been a nanny for infants and toddlers for the past 3 years. Before this time, I worked as teacher's aide, after-school program teacher and administrative assistant. I have an Early Childcare Certificate, a current First Aid/CPR Certificate for Infants - Adults, Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate, and Public Information degree. I care deeply about forming a strong bond with the children I care for and love introducing them to various experiences that build their awareness of themselves, others and the world around them. In addition, I believe in offering gentle guidance to children in a respectful, kind, instructive and even fun way. During my time with children, I do activities and engage with them in a way that sparks their curiosity, builds their knowledge and skills, follows their interests, helps them learn age-appropriate socio-emotional and communication skills. Based on several factors, I may use redirection, modeling what I want them to do or say, several reminders to reinforce behavior expectations such as washing hands after outside play and before meals, offering "first this, then that" or a choice of what to do first when both activities are required, advanced notice before transitioning to something else, and other age-appropriate caregiving practices. As a strong empath, I want to use my innate ability to connect with children (and all people) in a way that helps them feel understood, valued, worthy of kindness and attention, great for who they are JUST AS THEY ARE, and safe. I've found that I can't nurture children as deeply as I'd like and, in the case of very young children, to the degree I feel they need as they learn about themselves, others and their world.
I grew up in a household with multiple children aka my little sister and my two nieces, as they grew up i took care of my next round of two nieces from newborns to where they are now! i have basically babysat my entire life! i can cook, clean and of course have fun! i also have another child i babysat before i moved up here from arizona which was my nephew who is now four years old! i have also worked at a elementary school as a paraprofessional who specializes in children with special needs! i have worked at a elementary school back in arizona before moving here which was K-8 which helped me know how to handle kiddos from ages 4 to 13! ☺️
