Hi - My name is Aline and I'm currently a Junior at Arizona State University. I am offering child care, and household services. I love being a babysitter and have been watching newborns, infants, toddlers, and kids since I was 11 years old. That is also why I am majoring in speech and hearing sciences so that I can be a speech pathologist that helps kids. Before I decided on an actual career I had wanted to be a cook so I learned how to cook. I have experimented with lots of different styles and ethnic food for all my picky eaters. We are immigrants so when we first came to America in 2008 my parents and aunts and uncles did not have any choice but to get jobs with not enough money for child care so I stepped up and took care of my cousins as soon as I was old enough. Most kid at my age hated taking care of kids but I loved it! Although I don’t have a drivers license I have reliable transportation! I am not allergic to any pets!

alejandra 1 review
$37 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Peoria, AZ

Hello families! My name is Alejandra. I’m originally from Colombia and have 7 years of childcare experience with children ranging from newborns to school age. I’m relocating from Seattle to AZ, and will be available starting mid-October for a full-time or part-time position. I especially love caring for newborns, infants, and toddlers. I have experience with babies as young as 3 months old and caring for two children at once. For the past 6 months, I’ve been caring for a wonderful 2-year-old. When we first started together, she was very attached to her mom and had a hard time being away from her. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, I was able to earn her trust and build a really special bond with her. Seeing her become comfortable and confident with me has been incredibly rewarding. I love keeping children active and engaged. Our days often include trips to the zoo, gymnastics, parks, water parks, and other fun outings. At home, I enjoy reading, arts & crafts, music, dancing, and age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development. I’m also happy to help with the everyday routines that make parents’ lives easier, including light meal prep, children’s laundry/light housekeeping, getting kids ready, doing their hair, school or daycare pickup, bedtime routines, and potty training. I take pride in making sure the children I care for are safe, happy, loved, and well cared for. A few things about me: • 7 years of childcare experience • Newborn, infant, toddler & school-age experience • CPR certified – Adult, Child & Infant • Bilingual – Spanish is my native language • Valid driver’s license & comfortable transporting children • Clean background check • References available Being a nanny is much more than simply watching children to me. I understand the trust parents place in the person caring for their little ones, and I want children to feel safe, comfortable, and loved when they’re with me. I’m excited about this new chapter in Arizona and would love to find a family where we can build a great relationship. Feel free to reach out, I’d love to learn more about your family! 🩷

I highly recommend Alejandra as a nanny and childcare provider. As a father of five daughters, I have seen her work closely with my four younger children, currently ages 11 months, 4, 9, and 10. What has impressed me most is her ability to provide attentive, dependable care while adapting skillfully to children at very different ages and stages of development. With my infant, Alejandra’s focus and attention to detail are remarkable. Her patience and professionalism are an unshakable constant. She provides a great balance of structured care and personal attention, while remaining observant and flexible enough to adjust to the baby’s needs and routine. With my 4-year-old, she is exceptionally attentive to her developmental stage. She encourages her curiosity and independence, listens to her questions, lets her help when appropriate, and recognizes when she needs assistance or closer supervision. Alejandra confidently manages activities and outings as well as everyday routines involving meals, screen time, hygiene, and cleaning up after eating or playing. She has also developed an excellent rapport with my 9- and 10-year-olds. She takes time to learn their individual personalities, interests, likes and dislikes, and gives them room to take initiative within clear expectations. With schoolwork, she allows them to explain their teacher’s instructions and work independently while remaining available to help. She is particularly skilled at calmly bringing their attention back when distracted. Rather than simply telling them what to do, she reminds them of expectations and positive behaviors they already understand from school and encourages them to apply those same standards at home. One of Alejandra’s greatest strengths is her judgment—she seems to know when to engage, when to redirect, and when to let children navigate an activity independently. That balance reflects a level of judgment and awareness that I believe distinguishes an exceptional childcare provider. Most importantly, my children genuinely enjoy and are comfortable with her. Their mother and I value the caring demeanor, patience, consistency, structure, and professionalism she brings into our home. I trust Alejandra with my children and would confidently recommend her to another family. Any family fortunate enough to have her care for their children will be gaining a thoughtful, capable, and genuinely dedicated caregiver.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
