Hello families!
My name is Alejandra. I’m originally from Colombia and have 7 years of childcare experience with children ranging from newborns to school age. I’m relocating from Seattle to AZ, and will be available starting mid-October for a full-time or part-time position.
I especially love caring for newborns, infants, and toddlers. I have experience with babies as young as 3 months old and caring for two children at once.
For the past 6 months, I’ve been caring for a wonderful 2-year-old. When we first started together, she was very attached to her mom and had a hard time being away from her. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, I was able to earn her trust and build a really special bond with her. Seeing her become comfortable and confident with me has been incredibly rewarding.
I love keeping children active and engaged. Our days often include trips to the zoo, gymnastics, parks, water parks, and other fun outings. At home, I enjoy reading, arts & crafts, music, dancing, and age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.
I’m also happy to help with the everyday routines that make parents’ lives easier, including light meal prep, children’s laundry/light housekeeping, getting kids ready, doing their hair, school or daycare pickup, bedtime routines, and potty training. I take pride in making sure the children I care for are safe, happy, loved, and well cared for.

Being a nanny is much more than simply watching children to me. I understand the trust parents place in the person caring for their little ones, and I want children to feel safe, comfortable, and loved when they’re with me.

With schoolwork, she allows them to explain their teacher’s instructions and work independently while remaining available to help. She is particularly skilled at calmly bringing their attention back when distracted. Rather than simply telling them what to do, she reminds them of expectations and positive behaviors they already understand from school and encourages them to apply those same standards at home.
One of Alejandra’s greatest strengths is her judgment—she seems to know when to engage, when to redirect, and when to let children navigate an activity independently. That balance reflects a level of judgment and awareness that I believe distinguishes an exceptional childcare provider.
