Hi! My name is Andrea and I am a 20 year old living in Oakland (Rockridge). Fun fact- I am 5th generation! I have been so lucky to have worked with children since I was 12 and for all of my previous jobs. I am comfortable caring for all ages! I have worked for •East bay Regional Park District• and •City of Oakland• as a recreation leader for after school programs and summer camps! I have worked for multiple families over the years and look to build more relationships with you and your children. To me it is very important to get a child out in nature and explore and experience everything in the outside world so I love to go on walks and out the house if that is possible with your child. I absolutely love all animals and am more than willing to care for them! I can help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and any other. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow. I look forward to meeting you and your family! I am more than happy to do overnights and travel. CPR certified! I do not smoke! Do not drive! Please be sure of your hours before booking-you still pay for hours listed even if home early. If you want to extend hours, I am okay with that as long as there is clear communication! Thanks :)

Hello parents! I'm a nurturing individual with a passion for children's growth and development. My journey in childcare stems from a desire to impact young lives positively. With 4 years of Nanny experience and being a former Montessori Teachers Aid, l've honed my skills in providing a safe and stimulating environment for children. I've cared for children ages ranging from 3 months to 11 years old. I worked as an after school teacher and taught coding, clay art, and lego engineering to elementary aged children. Ranging from grades 1st to 4th. I am also an older sister and an aunt. My siblings being now 13 years old and 7 years old. I have helped raise my siblings and have learned from an early age how to take care of children! I believe in fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere where children feel comfortable expressing themselves. My patient and creative approach allows me to engage children in various activities, including outdoor games, board games, and educational games that enhance their learning. I understand the importance of open communication with parents and regularly provide written daily reports and updates on their child's well-being. I firmly believe in following the parents' lead when it comes to enforcing household rules. My background includes college coursework in Early Childhood Education and Development, which has further enhanced my understanding of children's needs.

Chelsea is a phenomenal nanny - she has cared for our 6 month old girl wonderfully. She is calm and detail-oriented. She fills each day with age-appropriate, stimulating activities and has helped advance eating solids, tummy time, sitting up and improving nap routines for our daughter. She maintains a safe environment at all times and is communicative / responsive to my husband and self during care while we are at work. She really is a team player - always on time, always positive, takes direction well, and shows genuine interest in helping us with our daughter's needs and general household maintenance. She also is proficient in Huckleberry app tracking, which has been a huge blessing in communicating our daughter's daytime schedule. She really goes above and beyond in her role. Lastly - Our daughter LOVES her. Baby always smiles when she comes over and shows signs of comfort when in her arms.

Hello families! I love working with children and am looking for babysitting opportunities with kids of any age! I enjoy spending time with kids doing crafts, reading stories at bedtime, and keeping them happy and safe. Some of my hobbies include photography, singing, knitting, and yoga. I am a graduate of San Francisco State University, where I studied psychology with an emphasis on child development. I have been babysitting since high school and have worked with many local families with kids ages 0-13. I was a tutor for a year at an after school program where I facilitated activities and helped the children with their homework. After graduating college I worked for a year and a half at a group home for kids (ages 6 to 18) who struggled with regulating themselves during stress. One summer I also worked at a pre-school prep where I interacted with kids ages 8 months to 3 years doing activities such as reading, singing, crafts, art and other activities. And then most recently I taught mindfulness for two years at Oakland Public Schools and have been substitute teaching for the past year. I was very active for many years on Urbansitter back when it first started from about 2012 to 2017 and then I took a long break from it to focus on other career goals. Now I’ve decided to make a return to it since I’m on summer break and am hoping to continue with it into the next school year as I plan to be part time with my regular job. I currently live in San Leandro and am willing to go to Oakland, Hayward, Castro Valley, San Francisco and Lafayette. I look forward to hearing from you! Sheena

With over a decade of dedicated experience in childcare, I bring warmth, reliability, and a deep understanding of children’s needs to each family I work with. I’ve provided one-on-one care as well as support for multiples, including serving as a full-time nanny for three siblings—a newborn, a 2.5-year-old, and a 5-year-old—in New York before returning to the Bay Area. My background also includes roles as an au pair, tutor, teacher, and camp counselor, giving me a well-rounded foundation for connecting with kids of all ages. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Occidental College, which enriches my understanding of developmental and cultural dynamics in childcare. Many families I’ve worked with through this site have left glowing reviews, a testament to my commitment to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children. Please feel free to book any open time on my calendar, as I keep it updated regularly. For any questions, don’t hesitate to send me a message—I look forward to meeting you and your family! Booking Policies: --4-hour minimum booking --Not available for jobs that require driving kids --I’m not available for phone interviews but happy to schedule an in-person working interview if you want to meet before booking for a longer gig.

Hi! My name is Natalia and I’m 29 years old. I started caring for my younger sister at 13, which sparked my passion for working with children. By the time I turned 18, I was babysitting for my older sister’s friends, and word quickly spread to their friends as well. Over the past few years, I’ve cared for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. I also have experience working in a nanny share with three infants at once, which taught me how to manage multiple little ones with care and attention. When the weather is nice, I love taking kids outside for fresh air and activities. Indoors, I enjoy playing with toys, board games, card games, or doing arts and crafts. In my free time, I love hiking, going to the gym, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
