I am booking occasional nights and daytime care as my schedule is open. I am seeking a part time or fulltime job in San Francisco, Berkeley, Albany, Oak. I am also working evening or daytime occasional care. After finishing a 14 month position a FT job with a 1.5- turning 2.5 child I had a 3 month temp job with a 1.5 year old. I have worked as a full time Nanny and Preschool teacher for 20 years in SF, Berkeley and Oakland. Truly Outdoorsy! I have enthusiastically enjoyed caring for the ages of 2-5 from age 18. Most of the families that I have worked with the past 8 years have left the area but are still fabulous references. I never used an agency. 2.5 Years I worked as nanny in Berkeley to a 1- 4 year old in Berkeley, 4 plus years recently, and numerous families in SF during 2021- 22. I cared for a 2 year old full time and the 5 year old part time. I have over 23 years of nannying experience. I started young! I have a BA in Psychology and took 8 education courses. I studied abroad in India, Nepal and Tibet. In college I worked at a daycare then started a drama club at the same afterschool program for 3 years. I assisted a Waldorf - inspired preschool, taught at a Montessori based English language immersion preschool and kindergarten in Taiwan for 2 years. I worked as a teacher for 3 years with 2-5 year olds at a lovely Reggio play based preschool in Berkeley. I have been known to have a strong constitution, good health and I very much find children funny and wise. I found my calling early on.

I have 20+ years experience working with newborns to teens. I’ve spent over a decade as a professional nanny/sitter in San Francisco Bay Area. I usually work with newborns/ infants/ toddlers, so I'm fully vaccinated with documentation. Received a certificate of completion as a newborn care specialist from Newborn Care Training Academy. My earliest childcare experience comes from growing up in a big family. I have 6 siblings and they have 10 kids who I've helped raise. In previous jobs, my duties included dog-walking, driving, light housekeeping/cooking, kid's laundry, sleep training, potty-training, baby-led weaning, baby massage, baby sign language, using cloth diapers, working in a nanny share, caring for twins/multiples, and physical therapy (epilepsy). I was a teacher's aide for preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade. I've tutored K-12 students in reading and writing comprehension, basic class assignments and computer literacy. I’ve taught melodic percussion and play the ukulele. I can handle multiple children because I worked as a Kid's Club Attendant at 24-Hour Fitness --- busy with arts & crafts, jungle gym, song and dance parties. I drive to work from Berkeley Hills. Please let me know if there's any parking restrictions where you live (street cleaning/other parking rules). ________ VACCINATIONS Flu: 1/8/2026 Covid-19: 9/28/2025 HepB: 11/23/2016 Tdap: 11/22/2016 ________ - Adult/Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certified 5/3/25 - Member of International Nanny Association - CA Trustline Certified ________ POLICIES I expect to be paid the same whether the child is asleep/awake with the exception of overnight/travel jobs. Let's discuss expectations and negotiate. EARLY/LATE RETURNS: This work is my main source of income. Because I plan my time and budget around the hours booked, I ask to be paid for the entire booking even if you come home early. I'm usually flexible on the end time of a booking, but text/call if you'll be late, especially if we have not discussed flexibility beforehand. I occasionally book jobs back-to-back with just enough time for travel in between, and your late return can have an unfortunate impact on my schedule. CANCELLATIONS: For cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, I expect 50% of the original booking amount.

our daughter loves Kresta! we're definitely asking her to return next time we need a sitter. she was on time and knew exactly how to make our baby feel comfortable from the moment she arrived

With over a decade of dedicated experience in childcare, I bring warmth, reliability, and a deep understanding of children’s needs to each family I work with. I’ve provided one-on-one care as well as support for multiples, including serving as a full-time nanny for three siblings—a newborn, a 2.5-year-old, and a 5-year-old—in New York before returning to the Bay Area. My background also includes roles as an au pair, tutor, teacher, and camp counselor, giving me a well-rounded foundation for connecting with kids of all ages. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Occidental College, which enriches my understanding of developmental and cultural dynamics in childcare. Many families I’ve worked with through this site have left glowing reviews, a testament to my commitment to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children. Please feel free to book any open time on my calendar, as I keep it updated regularly. For any questions, don’t hesitate to send me a message—I look forward to meeting you and your family! Booking Policies: --4-hour minimum booking --Not available for jobs that require driving kids --I’m not available for phone interviews but happy to schedule an in-person working interview if you want to meet before booking for a longer gig.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
