Hi - My name is Tameka. I am offering child care, senior care and household services. I love being a babysitter and have been watching newborns, infants, toddlers and kids (including a child with autism). I started babysitting at 22 when my first nephew was born. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school, crafts and extra curricular activities, naptimes & etc. I also work as a household assistant and can cook, clean and run errands. I was a caretaker for my uncle when he was going through dementia. I took him on walks, played music and danced with him, and also took him to his appointments. When he was in the hospital at the end, I would sit and have long talks with him even though I knew he couldn’t respond. I knew he could hear me, and that was what mattered the most. Im a great people person and luv children as I am a still a big kid at heart ❤️

I am originally from Guatemala. I speak only one language, but I understand a lot of English and I am learning. In Guatemala, I worked as a nanny. I am very patient and loving. I previously cared for a 3-month-old baby. I can cook and I can also help with cleaning. I also worked for Avon cleaning offices.

Flor loves children very much and has been volunteering to take care of them since her own childhood. Growing up in Nicaragua made her a very family based woman and it created the intention to always take care of younger ones and bring them up well. Other than her two children, she raised her three granddaughters and would often take care of other family member's children. While she lived in Nicaragua, she was a teacher and taught many subjects, her favorites being history, math, geography and Spanish. Then she moved to the United States with her children, and attended Los Angeles City College to study nursing and would go on to work 35 years in the nursing industry before retiring. Flor has extensive experience working with people of all ages and all abilities and is fully ready to learn to take care of any accommodations and provide for those with special needs. She is fluent in Spanish and English and can read and write in both languages. She loves music and dancing and knows how to put anyone in a good mood with a funny joke. The happiness of the child/children is something very important to her and Flor tries to let them have fun while still instilling responsibility and discipline.
