Long Beach
$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Alhambra, CA

Hello! My name is Korea and I am 37 years old. I was born and raised in Fresno, California, and I’m the eldest of seven children. From a young age, I played a major role in helping my parents with caregiving and family support. I have a younger brother diagnosed with Spina Bifida, which gave me early experience assisting with activities of daily living. I also have another younger brother diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes, and I helped with monitoring blood sugar levels and administering insulin. While living in Fresno, I worked as a Tutor with the Teaching Fellows Foundation, supporting elementary students in grades 1 through 6. I also helped with creative enrichment activities including cooking, gardening, and hands-on learning projects. During my time at Birney Elementary, I was honored to receive Employee of the Month. In 2015, I moved to Long Beach, CA, and began working with the W.R.A.P. Program through the Boys & Girls Club of Long Beach. I supported students through tutoring, structure, and behavior reinforcement, and worked with children who needed extra guidance and patience. I worked at both Nelson Academy and Jackie Robinson Academy, and during my time at Nelson Academy, I received Employee of the Month twice. Over the years, I have continued building experience working with children and teens of different needs and personalities. I have worked closely with two neurodivergent teenagers, supporting daily routines, emotional regulation, communication, and structure in the home environment. I have also worked with organizations including Cortica and Amergis, gaining additional experience supporting children with developmental and behavioral needs. Currently, I work as an Instructional Aide with Long Beach Unified School District, where I support students in the classroom academically, behaviorally, and socially. I am also working toward my BCAT credential (Board Certified Autism Technician), which reflects my dedication to providing quality care for children with autism and other developmental differences. Overall, I truly enjoy working with kids. I’m patient, dependable, and nurturing, while also understanding the importance of structure, boundaries, and consistency. I take pride in being someone families can trust and rely on. I’m currently based in Malibu (with some time spent between Malibu and Long Beach), and my main address is Malibu. I’m especially interested in childcare opportunities in Malibu and the surrounding areas.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Korea for several years, and I can confidently say she is one of the most genuine and kind-hearted people I know. Even though we don’t live close and don’t get to see each other often, I am always excited when we do get the chance to spend time together. We originally met through a mutual friend, but it didn’t take long for me to appreciate her for who she is as a person and to value her friendship on her own. Korea is naturally warm, thoughtful, and caring. She is the type of person who truly shows up for others. She is hardworking, honest, and consistently goes out of her way to help those around her without expecting anything in return. Her kindness is not just something she says — it’s something she lives out in how she treats people every day. When it comes to children, Korea is especially wonderful. I have personally seen how she interacts with my own kids, and she is incredibly patient, fun, and nurturing. She meets children where they are, making them feel safe, heard, and valued. She has a natural ability to connect with kids in a way that makes them comfortable and happy to be around her. At the same time, she maintains a calm and responsible presence that gives parents peace of mind. I would trust Korea to care for children because I know she takes responsibility seriously. She is attentive, dependable, and genuinely enjoys spending time with kids — not just supervising them, but engaging with them in meaningful ways. Any family would be fortunate to have Korea caring for their children. I wholeheartedly recommend her and believe she will bring the same kindness, dedication, and positive energy into any home she works with.

Signal Hill
$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Alhambra, CA

Hello there! My name is Vy and I’m a junior in college, majoring in theatre arts! I grew up babysitting and looking after my younger cousins every summer; staying overnight, and being in charge of their daily routines. As I got older, I found my love in volunteering for various children's camps, summer schools for special needs kids, and at a shelter for cats and kittens! As well as this, I worked as a swim instructor for people of all ages, but specializing in the ages 1-3. I enjoy working with kids and have learned some talents to keep them entertained (face painting, balloon animals, etc.) I also had a kitten and older cat at home that I loved to care for! As for household services, I enjoy cleaning and organizing and pay extreme attention to detail. I love putting in the hard work and seeing a difference in the results. I was CPR and First aid certified, am willing to renew my certification, and have experience in lifeguarding and teaching swim! I’m willing to do house keeping, looking after cats, walking dogs, and taking care of children ages 3+

Hi, there! This is Sofi! ☺️ CPR Certified. have an extensive experience taking care of kids of all ages, including babies, toddlers, and teenagers. I worked as a full time au pair for 2 years in the Bay Area with two different families, and as a nanny since 2019 to pay for my college classes. I have been working in Mountain View Parents Nursery School since 2022 as volunteer. I’m currently a Business Administration student. On top of that I’ve been doing nanny jobs for some others families in order to pay for my college degree. I recently moved to Long Beach and I’m looking forward to meet a nice family who is looking for an occasional nanny💗 I love photography, traveling and exploring places around California. I’m bilingual so I speak English and Spanish because I was born in Argentina 🫶🏻 I like to play with kids and do different types of proyects with them. Please, feel free to contact me at any time so you can get to know me better! ☺️

I can’t say enough positive things about Sofia. She was the first nanny and first person that we ever trusted to care for our 11 month old besides ourselves. It was so scary for me to leave my boy with someone else and she made me feel more than comfortable! My baby lit up for her, and truly you could tell he liked her right off the bat. She’s very soft spoken and super easy to get along with. She even gave our hyper dog the attention he needed during the day and played fetch with him! If we could keep her we would, and I wouldn’t want to share! Surely she’s the best there is!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
