I've always enjoyed spending time or teaching new things to young children. I was a tutor for 2 years and taught ages 5-13 years old. At age 15 I was involved with a nonprofit organization based on young kids and teenagers who were involved in alcohol or drugs. I've always found it fascinating to be able to make a difference in our community and help kids in need. While in college, I invested my weekends working as a Disney Princess for many Birthday Parties. I would dress up as all types of characters and perform for kids, teenagers and adults. When I wasn't in school, I worked part-time as a Swim Instructor. I instructed all ages from infants, toddlers, kids and teenagers. I was also involved as a Birthday Party coordinator during the weekends. I would host events and pool parties while supervising all staff and lifeguards. I'm also very active and was involved in sports during my High School years. I played Volleyball & Softball. I was Varsity Caption for my Cross Country Team & also involved in Dance. I’ve never found a child whom didn’t respond well to my care. My husband and I have NEVER spanked our children. Timeouts, communication, & firm directions are more than adequate to correct a child's behavior. I’m very patient & understanding with all children. 2.
