I am a proud United States Air Force Veteran. I enlisted as a Medical Technician/Combat Medic/EMT. I served 4 years at Travis Airforce Base, became a civilian Licensed Vocational Nurse, Wife and Mother. I was honorably discharged in 2000 when I found out we were blessed with a 2nd child. I chose to focus on my career as a Nurse, proud Mom and Wife. I began working in the year 2000 as a full time Civilian Nurse which allowed me to support my Husband's military career as he pursued his dream to continue to serve and retire from the military. Together, we raised 3 children who are now adults, 1 enlisted and spent 4 years in the Airforce and my 2nd currently serving proudly with the intention of following his Fathers footsteps and making this a career commitment. My 2 Daughters are in College, working to become Licensed Nurses as their Father and I did. I spent 26 years as a Nurse and have worked in many different areas. Ive held various titles with positions in acute care settings,clinical settings, in home care, home health wound and follow up visit care, skilled nursing facility floor nursing and management positions, travel nursing, temporary agency nursing working in multiple facilities in the surrounding areas of solano, sonoma, sacramento, napa and many other counties. I have worked as a Crisis Nurse for a Mobile Response Team in Napa along side local law enforcement agencies as well as the county in providing assessment of people in situations of mental health crises, issuing 5150 involuntary holds as necessary, providing counseling services both in person and over the phone to de escalate situations of potential danger and providing intervention, services as well as resources as needed to ensure mental and physical safety and well-being of fellow citizens. I have worked in residential realestate sales in New Jersey and obtained a license to work in California as well . I am a fitness enthusiast and love teaching others how to live healthy lives, eat nutritious food and maintain a good relationship with themselves, exercise and activities. I am currently taking the ISSA course with a goal of starting my own business as an independent Fitness Trainer & Nutrition Coach. I love animals. I have raised/cared for many cats, dogs and other animals along side my children as they became aware of how to care for/love pets & understand responsibility as well as how precious life itself is.
