Joanna $35 per hour for 1 child

I am a dedicated and compassionate individual with a strong background in healthcare and child development. I recently completed my nursing degree, where I gained extensive knowledge in patient care, safety, and clinical skills. My experience as a medical technician in a senior care facility allowed me to develop hands-on skills in assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and providing empathetic support to elderly patients. Currently, I work as a behavioral therapist in a school setting, where I support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Down syndrome. In this role, I help implement individualized behavior plans, promote social and communication skills, and create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for each child. I am known for being patient, attentive, and reliable, with a genuine passion for helping others. My diverse experience across both pediatric and geriatric care allows me to adapt easily and provide high-quality, compassionate support to individuals of all ages.

Maria 1 review
$20 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Maria. I am a caring and fun childcare provider. I am experienced with all ages of children. I have cared for babies and children ages 2 to 10 years old. I have multiple years of experience working as a teacher assistant in a daycare and an afterschool care program for elementary school students. I have also worked as a day camp counselor, and have many art, games and movement activities that I can facilitate with your child(ren). I am a punctual and responsible person. I am always on time for work and in a positive mood ready to care for your child(ren). I am bilingual (Spanish) and I am able to communicate in Spanish or English. I have experience working in immersion daycares and teaching children Spanish through games, music and art activities. I am an excellent communicator and I take pride in my work. I have excellent work references from former families and employers. I am especially interested in finding a family looking for a nanny over the summer and/ or a family that is looking for childcare part-time or full-time. If you have any questions for me or have a job opportunity please let me know! I look forward to meeting you and your family!

Maria is truly one of the sweetest and most kindhearted people I know, and I cannot recommend her enough. She is excellent and incredibly attentive with children, always paying close attention to their needs and safety while creating a warm, positive environment. At the same time, she has a natural ability to confidently guide kids in their learning and development, helping them grow into respectful and well-mannered individuals. She is bilingual, which is a huge benefit, and she brings years of consistent, hands-on experience caring for children throughout the week, both before and after school. Any family would be lucky to have her. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else but her.

Mika 1 review
$48 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Brisbane, CA

Hi all! I’m Mika, a 28-year-old SF native with over 10 years of professional childcare experience. What started as regular babysitting in my teens evolved into a well-rounded career in childcare - including teaching swim, working at preschools, managing summer camps with 25+ kids, and full-time nannying. I have experience with every stage from newborn to preteen, as well as neurodivergent and physically disabled children - i’m prepared and excited for any situation! I'm truly passionate about fostering healthy development in a fun, loving environment. I view my role as working with families to create a cohesive team, for the best possible care. I’m flexible, punctual, a clear communicator, creative (I attended arts school for 9 years!), and worldly (dual US/Swedish citizen). Most importantly, I bring a warm, caring energy to everything I do and would love the chance to meet you and your little one(s)!

We hit the jackpot with Mika. Our first interaction was a last minute babysitting gig that turned into over two years of working together. Us moving and no longer being able to work with Mika will greatly impact our family. Communication is incredibly important to any parent who doesn’t get to see what is going on throughout the day. In my case, I was this parent while my husband worked from home. Although my husband was in the next room, both of us were continually looped into the day with updates, photos and shared location which were all her idea. Mika’s energy & ability to stay engaged seems boundless. Whether it’s the various activities she dreams up, facilitating socialization with other children, learning new words, or working with puzzles, she has her entire focus and attention on the moment. Her being a native to San Francisco has helped with exploring spaces that we had never thought to visit. It would be easy to tailor a child’s day to just neighborhood playground visits but our sons day is filled with so much more. Any family would be incredibly lucky to work with Mika.

Sara 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child

“I am a mom of two beautiful daughters; my oldest is 13 years old, and my youngest is 10. I worked with one family for 3.5 years until they moved. Currently, I am helping a two-year-old with special needs, but I am looking for more hours to support my family.” Thank you!

Sara is absolutely wonderful! We were so lucky to find her. She is punctual, hard working, VERY organized and really cares about the smallest details. She is also very active, likes to come up with activities for the kids and always takes them to the park or on walks. One of our kids is special needs and has many therapy appointments. Sara kept me updated about his therapist’s recommendations and implanted them whenever I was at work and couldn’t attend. Highly highly recommend.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
