Hi! My name is Allie and I graduated from SDSU in May and got my degree in sociology. I absolutely love working with kids and have had experience with all ages starting at around 4 months all the way up to middle school. I have my own form of transportation and love pets! I am very interested in going back to school to get my Masters in Social Work so in the mean time I am looking to use my creativity and energy to help be a fun nanny for families!

I started working with children when I was 15 as a gymnastics coach for preschool. After that I continued to work with kids, including being a live in nanny, a behavior technician for children on the spectrum and babysitting for different families. I have worked with ages from newborn to middle school. I am very punctual and trustworthy and get along with kids great.

I have experience with taking care of pets, children, and seniors. For starters, I worked at Petco for almost 3 years so I am knowledgeable in pet care and dietary needs. I rescued a senior cat so I have experience with administering oral medication. For dogs, I have experience with taking care of young and high-energy dogs. As for children, my experience as a Youth Leader for the YMCA has allowed me to understand what it takes to engage with children and provide age-appropriate activities that will develop their social and emotional behavior. As for seniors, I have experience working with IHSS through the care of my own father and can provide medication management, laundry services, household chores, errands, and companionship.

I have years of professional caregiving experience caring for children, seniors, and pets. My background includes working as a Medication Technician and supporting seniors with neurodegenerative disorders, along with extensive hands-on experience caring for infants and young children. I am comfortable managing feeding schedules, diaper changes, sleep routines, developmental play, and helping little ones reach important milestones from infancy through early childhood. Along with my caregiving skills, I also assist with housekeeping and laundry, ensuring a well-maintained and comfortable environment. Beyond my professional experience, I have volunteered for several years, further enriching my ability to connect with and care for others. I’m an active individual, regularly involved in hobbies like rock climbing, kayaking, and yoga, which keep me energetic and focused. Additionally, I’ve been a clarinetist for over 10 years, bringing creativity and discipline into all aspects of my life. I am a college student currently working toward my CNA certification and I am CPR and BLS certified. I have experience working with children, including kids with special needs, and I truly love creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment for them. My goal as I continue in nursing is to work with infants, but I am happy caring for children of all ages. I enjoy helping with homework, doing art and creative activities, and even baking with kids if parents are comfortable with that. With toddlers, I like to introduce simple ASL signs to help them communicate their needs and feelings more easily. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive, and I always focus on making children feel safe, heard, and cared for. I am also comfortable caring for pets as long as they are not aggressive, and I’m open to helping with house sitting and light household tasks when needed.
