Jasmine Watsonville
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Jasmine. I’ve been working with children for about 7 years. Caring for children has always been a passion of mine, and I genuinely love being a positive part of their growth, learning, and everyday lives. I have experience caring for children of various ages, including newborns and young children. I’m CPR certified, have reliable transportation, and multiple references available upon request. I strive to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, encouraged, and cared for. Whether we’re playing games, doing crafts, spending time outdoors, or working on daily routines, I love helping kids learn, grow, and have fun while giving parents peace of mind.

Aptos
$27 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Freedom, CA

Hi, I'm Mary Anne! I have been a professional caregiver for infants, toddlers, young children and seniors for about 30 years, most recently as a nanny and home-based eldercare provider, and it’s been a joy! I am currently seeking a 30 to 40 hour a week ongoing position, and meanwhile, I am happy to accept one-time jobs. I have a strong college background in infant, child and adult development behind me, but my most important learning has come from those I’ve cared for! My aim is to be fully present with those I care for, tuned into their individual needs and interests, as well as moments where they might need support or challenge. I love learning what makes someone of any age “tick”, and in getting to really know someone and what makes for a harmonious and caring relationship for each individual. I respect those I care for as active participants in whatever’s happening, and I want to support them to make choices that are meaningful to them throughout their day, and to supplement that with drawing out their own unique interests to create interesting, meaningful days, often in new ways. I’m happy to support families with simple meal prep and light housekeeping or any other reasonable requests. . I’m happy to drive to outings, whether for fun, to get in touch with nature, for exercise or for errands, and to include pets in my care. I cared very successfully for my father during the nine years of his dementia journey, and love to serve folks with those needs. Overall, I delight in being a lifelong learner and would love to learn how I can serve your family! I have a comprehensive packet of information about my care work, including more letters of recommendation that I'm happy to email to you, so please ask me!

To whom it may concern, From March 2022 to August 2022, Mary Anne Cutaia was our nanny for our two-year-old son when we decided that he just wasn’t ready quite yet for pre-school. Our son previously had a history of behavioral issues at preschool, and those have remarkably disappeared since his time with Mary Anne. (Usually 1-2 days per week, the daily note from school would indicate some difficulty he had; I haven't seen a single difficulty noted in the month that he's been back.) We felt safe leaving our son with Mary Anne each day, trusting that she would handle whatever came up. She also took the initiative to send us several photos each day that showed highlights of his activities. She shared her observations and interactions with him, as well as made suggestions based on her child development background. She respectfully worked with practical limit-setting and worked on ways to help him concentrate on eating vs throwing his food, thinking he was funny. She also supported and facilitated his play with other children during daily park trips and told us about other children that he played well with at the park, who might be suitable for play dates. She also recommended open-ended play materials specific to his play interests and introduced sensory-based play materials that helped him increase his ability to focus. And suggested preschool-aged books that supported empathy, choice-making, and more cooperative play skills. She also taught him to share with her and other children. Mary Anne was incredible with our son and helped teach him valuable lessons that have improved his time at his pre-school, and that will serve him as he grows. We very much appreciate Mary Anne and her help. Phoenix R. Titus 619-912-3121 [email protected]

I live with my grandparents who fostered me with wisdom for my whole life and taught me the importance of empathy and a good work ethic. I have a genuine heart and love to work with children and am majoring in child development! I am a great person to care for cats as I have some myself and work closely with non profits and clubs when I was in high school! I currently am a preschool teacher but am looking for something new!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
