Hi Parents! Its a pleasure to meet you. You will find I have a large gap in my reviews because I have been working with a family long term the past 2 years and have been mainly hired by repeat families (Would be happy to offer that reference.) I am now available for new families! I'm a writer-actress recently moved to LA from NYC! (Hence the mainly NYC reviews) I received my BS in Advertising and Marketing Communications from FIT, minoring in English. In my spare time I enjoy writing poetry, reading, films, playing volleyball, working out and just being active. I'm a lover of nature as well as a lover of laughter :) I grew up taking care of kids/ being around kids all the time because of my very fertile family haha . I knew how to change a diaper since I was about 10 years old and as I got older I was one of the go to for watching my little cousins who ranged from newborns to 12 years. I have experience with all ages and get along great with kids. I'm patient, understanding and educated. I have done pick ups after school, traveled home to work on homework, prepared a snack/cook dinner and fun time if there was time left after. I have experience with overnight/vacation sitting where I was the main caretaker and very comfortable with it. I've taken children to parks, museums and played with them. I know how to change diapers, do bath time, put to sleep and keep everyone happy :) I also do light cleaning if necessary and I am red cross cpr certified and have first aid training. Cancellation policy- same day/ last minute cancellation requires the full booking amount to be paid. I tend to have a lot of inquiries and and when you book in advance I am fully committed to you. I turn down any other offers that i receive! I understand things come up however, this is my main source of income and i take it very seriously! The time i scheduled for you is very important to me as it should be for you :) **For bookings ending at or beyond 9pm travel home would be required!

Kimberley is fantastic, she was able to help us last minute whilst we are visiting LA, and our daughter quickly felt comfortable with her. Would definitely recommend her to other parents.

Hi- My name is Nai! I started my caregiver journey with watching my siblings and many many cousins. Over the last few years, I have primarily worked with toddlers-school age long term for two families(one including two sets of twins), with tons of short-term jobs in between. I love doing all kinds of activities with the kiddos; including painting, walks in nature and a little jam out session here and there :) In my free my time, I love to make music, reading and be out exploring nature! Willing to discuss and be flexible with rates as needed! Feel free to message me with any questions!!

Hi families! My name is Catherine. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree, but I love working with children on the side, as I have always loved working with youth. I understand how instrumental it is for children to have someone patient, supportive, and caring to support their growth and well-being. I have been caregiving for children, from infants to preteens (5m-12y) for about 5 years now. I used to work as a Camp Counselor during the summers, which taught me multitasking, patience, and problem-solving, amongst several valuable lessons. I have also grown up babysitting outside the app, building valuable and meaningful connections with several families and caring for their little ones! My responsibilities consisted of organizing and maintaining each child's schedule, organizing playdates, assisting with homework, organizing and providing creative projects and arts and crafts, assisting with light housekeeping duties, and maintaining bedtime routines! I understand that choosing a caregiver for your children is a significant decision, and I take that trust very seriously. My goal is to create an environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and encouraged to be themselves. Additionally, I am offering pet care and household services. I am extremely comfortable with dogs/cats, as I grew up around them. Can work around their diets, schedules, playtime, and routines! Grew up with three very large American Bulldogs, so size is not an issue for me. I enjoy playing with both cats and dogs of all breeds! My ultimate goal is to ensure families and individuals can rely on someone to look after their pets, little ones, or receive a helping hand with household services! I am also open to interviews if needed. Thank you for your consideration!

Catherine is really great with my daughter, it’s been great having her take care of my daughter while I am at home working. She arrives on time, talks and reads to my baby. She stays engaged with my baby and is able to get her to nap.

Hi, I’m Mara. I’m 27 with over 10 years of paid childcare experience, working with children from infancy through teenage years. I’ve supported families in long-term, short-term, and overnight roles, and I’m confident handling everything from daily routines to more involved care needs. I also have experience working with children on the autism spectrum, ADHD, and other developmental needs, and I approach each child with patience, awareness, and adaptability. My personality is calm, grounded, and attentive. I naturally create a peaceful, structured environment where children feel safe, understood, and comfortable. I’m very intentional about how I show up — present, observant, and responsive without being overwhelming. I have strong experience with infant and toddler care, school routines, transportation to activities, homework support, and meal prep. In many of my long-term roles, I’ve also supported the home during school hours or summer camp schedules, keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly so families can come home to a well-maintained space. I’m comfortable with both childcare-related tasks and overall household upkeep. In addition to my hands-on experience, I’m the CEO of a childcare-based nonprofit where I’ve led teams in schools to support structured play during recess and lunch, focusing on social and emotional development and helping children navigate conflict in a positive way. My nonprofit is currently in a rebuilding phase due to district funding cuts. Because of that, I prefer to work with a family where I can commit long-term (ideally 1–2 years), allowing me to provide consistent, reliable support day-to-day while also having stability in my own schedule. I value structure, communication, and mutual respect, and I do best with families who are looking for someone dependable, calm, and proactive. Someone they can trust to handle both childcare and household support without needing constant direction. I’m dependable, consistent, and respectful of each family’s routines and preferences. Families I’ve worked with value that they can trust me to step in seamlessly, stay calm in any situation, and handle responsibilities with care. I take what I do seriously and genuinely care about creating a positive, safe experience for both the child and the family. *Non-smoker

I'm a LA native that has worked with children since I was 14. I'm also a professional dancer but nothing fulfills me like working with kids! I love to incorporate art and expression, but have no problem with laying down rules and running errands. I grew up in a big family and have been with children of all ages since day 1! I have a flexible schedule and competitive rates.

Flannery was the best. So kind and caring with our six month old, on time, flexible, and rolled with the punches when it turned out he had a cold. A calming presence! We're so grateful for her help.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
