Cierra 1 review
$27 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Cierra, and I am currently a Lead Teacher at a preschool where I work primarily with 2-year-olds. I am offering child care services and have several years of experience working with children ages 2-5 in preschool classroom settings. I love working with children and especially enjoy arts and crafts, sensory play, music and movement activities, and themed activities that keep kids engaged and having fun while learning. I am very comfortable managing daily routines for multiple children at once, including meals, naps, potty training, transitions, outdoor play, and bedtime routines. Families often describe me as warm, personable, dependable, and attentive. I genuinely enjoy building connections with children and creating an environment where they feel safe, supported, and excited to play and learn. That connection often extends outside the classroom, as I have continued babysitting for former preschool families and love maintaining those relationships as children grow. While my most recent experience has been with toddlers and preschool-aged children, I also have experience with school-aged children through camps and after-school care. I am comfortable supervising multiple children at once and adapting activities to different personalities, interests, and energy levels.

I cannot recommend Cierra highly enough. She is truly exceptional and goes above and beyond for the kids in her care. She was my son's pre-school teacher and helped him through a hard transition into a new school. Under her care, he truly blossomed, and I was incredibly impressed at how effortlessly she creates both structure and a joyful learning environment. Moreover, she is an excellent communicator. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism, warmth, and natural instinct with kids so seamlessly. I highly recommend Cierra. She brings years of experience with children, and any family would be incredibly lucky to work with her.

Naz 2 reviews
$25 per hour for 1 child

I have extensive experience caring for children from infancy through 10+ years old, as well as experience working with children in a school environment. My background as a harpist and artist allows me to engage creatively with kids through music, imaginative play, and hands-on activities. I love teaching, spending time outdoors, making snacks, helping with household chores, and being playful and silly with the children I care for. I’m warm, attentive, reliable, and genuinely enjoy creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for families.

Naz helped care for my daughter Rumi from the time she was 1 year old until 3.5 years old on an as-needed basis, and she was truly wonderful with her. She is incredibly gentle, patient, reliable, and responsive, and always created a calm, nurturing environment around Rumi. What stood out most to me was how naturally caring and attentive she is with children. Rumi absolutely adored spending time with her. Naz brought so much creativity and warmth into their time together through music, play, art, and outdoor activities. She also has a very grounded and calming presence, which made me feel completely comfortable leaving Rumi in her care. I would wholeheartedly recommend Naz to any family looking for someone trustworthy, kind, engaging, and genuinely excellent with children.

Ashley $35 per hour for 1 child

Hi there! I have been working as an infant specialist and newborn night nurse for 8 years, and I’ve been a nanny for 10 years. I have worked as a credentialed ambulance EMT, Newborn Care Specialist, and CPR instructor. I have a spotless driving record and a Bachelor's and Master's. I am a certified Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula. I am well-versed in caring for children with special needs and providing medical treatments. I currently specialize in infants as a NCS/overnight newborn care giver. I am only seeking overnight positions at this time! I lead and care with kindness, patience, and confidence. I always take parents’ lead on preferences but am happy to provide suggestions and guidance by request. I treat the children in my care as unique individuals and work hard to understand their personalities and individuality from day one! I’ve also worked for many multiples, including many twins and a set of triplets. This includes multiples that were preemies and micro-preemies (on oxygen and heart rate monitors). If you feel I could be a good fit for your family, I look forward to hearing from you soon!

I’m a deeply compassionate nanny and educator with over fifteen years of experience caring for children of all ages, with a special focus on infants and toddlers. I hold a Master’s degree in Education and am a graduate of Loyola University Maryland and the University of Illinois . My approach is child-led and rooted in observation, allowing each child’s interests to guide learning, play, and daily routines. I’ve worked as an assistant director at a Montessori-inspired farm school and as a full-time nanny here in California for an infant and a toddler. I’m fluent in Spanish, a musician, and I love incorporating music, art, and time outdoors. I care deeply about children’s emotional well-being and strive to create calm, nurturing environments where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
