Karen Downey
$15 per hour for 1 child

The reason why my rates are so low compared to other is because I know the struggle of needing childcare and having no support . I work with kids on the spectrum supporting children from 5-12 years old with behaviors. I have experience with ages ranging from newborn - 12 years old . I am a big listener when it comes to parents expectations of a nanny to their children . My goal is that you feel comfortable leaving your children with me knowing that they are being taken care of the way you would want them to be. The downside about me is that I’m allergic to dogs and cats :( Contact[removed]427

Amara 1 review
Los Angeles
$27 per hour for 1 child

I am currently a graduate from IESEG University with my master's. I love kids and supporting moms and families. The babysitters and nannies I had growing up left a strong positive impression on me. I understand the value of being responsible, engaging, and a good role model. I am comfortable with after-school pickup, snacks, homework, and most of all, engaging in fun activities!

I highly recommend Amara!!! Amara worked as my daughter's after-school / part-time babysitter a little over a year ago when my daughter was in first grade...as well as occasionally babysitting her at various times since then. She was great!! She did an amazing job and is great with kids. She picked my daughter up five days a week from school, took her on the subway home (~20 minutes), took her to any activities, and helped with homework, etc. She was very responsible and mature and I felt very safe with her taking care of my daughter and taking her places, and she helped with her homework. My daughter loved her as well- Amara was fun and sweet to her and would "play" with her - fun imaginative things. Anyone would be lucky to have Amara as a sitter! We stopped her using Amara on a daily basis because she was studying abroad in Paris but, since she has been back, have used her a date night sitter.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
