Booked by 4 families in Los Banos, CA

Hey, my name is Alexa :) I am 20 years old and am offering child, elder and most pet care! I enjoy and am passionate about working with kids of all ages, I used to live with my 5 year old niece that I have watched frequently since birth. I have been babysitting members of my family since I was 12, including newborns, infants, toddlers and kids. Some of these responsibilities have included changing diapers, making meals/feeding, bathing, potty-training, and entertaining :) Not only am I passionate about babysitting but I also love taking care of the elder, whether that means cooking, cleaning or simply going on a walk!

Although one of my children were awake out of two she did a phenomenal job caring for my 11 month old. My five year-old daughter was asleep throughout the night, but she took wonderful care of my 11 month old baby.

Sophia 1 review

Booked by 1 family in Los Banos, CA

Hi! My name is Sophia, and I’m currently based in the Bay Area. I’m a caring, responsible, and experienced childcare professional with over two years of experience as an Au Pair in the United States, along with several years of experience working with children. After completing my Au Pair program, I’m now looking for a new family to work with as a nanny. I’m excited to continue working in childcare and build a long-term relationship with a family where I can be a reliable and supportive part of their children’s daily lives. During my two years as an Au Pair, I’ve cared for children of different ages and supported families with their daily routines, including school drop-offs and pick-ups, homework, playtime, meal preparation, bedtime routines, laundry, organizing children’s spaces, and driving to activities. I’m comfortable caring for multiple children and creating a safe, fun, and structured environment where children can learn and grow. I’m also currently completing additional courses focused on infant care and child development to expand my knowledge and become even more prepared to work with infants and young children. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and consider myself patient, responsible, reliable, and adaptable. I truly enjoy building strong connections with children and families and becoming someone they can trust. I’m fluent in English and Portuguese and would love the opportunity to meet a family looking for a caring, dependable, and experienced nanny. I’m currently transitioning out of my Au Pair program and looking for my next family! 💛

Sophia has been one of our most reliable sitters and we’ve booked her repeatedly for our two kids, ages 7 and 3. She’s handled school/daycare pickups, driving to activities, karate, parks, meals out, and longer afternoon/evening shifts with both kids. She’s calm, dependable, communicative, and very good with transitions - especially when our older child needs a little extra help moving from one activity to the next. She follows our routines well but can also make good judgment calls independently when plans change. We’re particularly comfortable with her driving our kids and using our family car, which is a big deal for us. She keeps them active and engaged rather than relying on screens, and both kids are very comfortable with her. For busy Bay Area families who need someone they can trust with pickups, activities, meals, and real afternoon logistics, Sophia is excellent. We would absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her.

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 14 families in Los Banos, CA

Hello families! My name is Leah, and I am excited to start working with you and your wonderful children. We might be a match if you're looking for someone with childhood development cred -- both in theory and in practice. I received two degrees from San Francisco State University in Child and Adolescent Development, covering early childhood and school age, and minored in special education. I've been putting what I learned to good use with the families I support, both long term ad occasionally. I understand why babies, toddlers, preschoolers and kiddos do what they do; I understand what is developmentally appropriate for them; and I will help guide them with the exploration of the world and their interaction with it. My favorite way to care for children is to be outdoor. I get on their level, see what they see, and share their fascination in new things. I keep children safe while supporting their exploration of the environment. I help children how to get along with others while supporting the development of their personalities. I help children and their parents, feel secure because that's everything! I have been a nanny since 2012. I have experience with multiples and nanny shares. I want to help raise resilient, compassionate, and intelligent adults. I believe that Frederick Douglass said it best when he said, "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." ****My availability will start November but I am looking for the perfect families now.

Professional, super friendly, and a HIT with our 4-year-old. So many giggly fits. :)

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
