Booked by 23 families in Manhattan Beach, CA

Hello, my name is Marelin. I'm 28 years old. I am loving and caring with kids. I have taken care of children up until the age of 15. I am reliable, trustworthy and honest. Will do any tasks that are given, my rules are the same rules you have at your house. Pets are okay. I also have my own transportation. Please let me know so we can schedule an interview! I can provide references if needed. Thank you.

“Marelin has been our daytime sitter since December 2025, and we're so sad to be losing her only because our family is moving out of LA in November 2026. She's been wonderful. She's reliable, flexible with hours, and always willing to work around our schedule. She’s smart and a quick learner. She picks up house rules and instructions right away. We always feel completely comfortable leaving her alone with our baby. She's endlessly patient during feedings, sings to our daughter, and always gets her down for naps quickly. She spends real time playing with and reading to our baby, who absolutely adores her. She's also happy to help with light housecleaning and errands. Highly recommend Marelin to any family looking for a trustworthy, loving caregiver”

Booked by 20 families in Manhattan Beach, CA

Hi! My name is Tiara,I’m 28 years old and located in Inglewood,CA A fun fact about me:I’m a chef and have owned my own catering business for the past 6 years! Being a chef has taught me to be organized, responsible, creative, and attentive to details—qualities I bring into every family I work with. I’ve always had a genuine love for caring for children of all ages, and I have younger siblings of my own, which has given me plenty of experience being patient, attentive, and nurturing. For me,babysitting is much more than simply keeping children safe.I want children to feel comfortable, cared for, entertained, and genuinely valued while they’re in my care. I’m dependable, warming, attentive, and a fast learner.I’m also big on communication and respecting family routines, expectations, and parenting style.I take the time to get to know each child—their personality, interests, comfort level, and what makes them feel secure. My goal is to build trusting relationships with both parents and children so that’s you feel comfortable, confident, and at ease while you’re away.I’d love the opportunity to become someone your family can rely on—not just for one sitting, but for the long term.

“Tiara was engaged and playful with our little guys. We plan to have her back! ”

$27 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 19 families in Manhattan Beach, CA

Hi! My name is Selene and I’m a University of Berkeley, California graduate with a B.A. in psychology. I started sitting when I was 13 and supported families in my neighborhood with their kids. In college, I worked for a church’s childcare group (ages 4 months-4 years) and tutored children in Spanish and math. I have loads of experience with school aged children (3-10). My child related job experience includes working in a domestic violence shelter for mothers and children of all different ages. We tutored, mentored, and provided childcare in the shelter using a non violent empowerment model. I also worked with elementary school children and teenagers working as an after school aid at non profit that provides services to children in the mission. I’ve had a few long term tutoring and sitting jobs and am currently looking to support a few families at a need basis! I like to co create activities with the children im caring for that are developmentally appropriate. For example, I love to use textured toys and sensory activities for infants to improve dexterity and color recognition and for children 4-8, I love to play games that help them move and use their imagination. (Dance party anyone?) I would describe my baby sitting style as engaged, imaginative and collaborative.

Booked by 33 families in Manhattan Beach, CA

Hello! My name is Alondra I am 25 years old. I have been a babysitter and nanny since I was in high school and have experience with newborns-12 year olds, and even twins! My love and patience towards children comes from taking care of my younger siblings being the oldest growing up. I have since then worked as a nanny/ babysitter for multiple amazing families. In addition to the childcare responsibilities, I have also assisted in homework, meal prepping and light housekeeping. Most importantly, I enjoy making long lasting connections and relationships with all the families I work with! It is what I enjoy and cherish the most. Typically with kiddos, I let them lead with their own interests to build rapport and trust but I especially love encouraging creative/imaginary play, hands on learning activities and arts&crafts! I am Fire Safety and First Aid certified. I am fully vaccinated and boosted and live in a fully vaccinated household. A little bit about me: I have a B.A. in psychology from San Francisco State where I also took child development and special education courses! I currently nanny and babysit for two sweet girls who are both almost 2! I like being outdoors, staying active and a book worm! Also love all types of animals! I take a more gentle approach when it comes to the kids I work it. That being said, I am committed to supporting your family and implementing practices that best meet your needs.

“Alondra was so sweet and great with both of my kids (toddler and baby). She was always on time and communicative.”

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
