This past summer, I was a camp counselor at the Bay Club in Ross Valley, where I was co-responsible for a group of 15-20 kids, ages 5-10. I lead them in a variety of activities, including tennis, pickleball, swimming, and arts & crafts projects. I took care of kids’ dress, care, and food needs (serving them lunch, helping them change during transition times, making sure they had proper sun protection, etc). I will be a counselor again this coming summer. My sophomore year in high school, I was a volunteer tutor at Davidson Middle School. I taught a variety of school subjects one-on-one to middle school students (ages 11-13), goal set and planned out students’ calendars to maximize success, and collaborated with other tutors to create group study sessions based on subjects. My sophomore summer, I was a private volleyball coach for an independent family. Their daughter was an eighth grader who wanted help to make her high school team. I created over 20 custom lesson plans based on her needs and preferences, conducted tailored drills focused on technique, and offered consistent feedback and guidance on skills and performance. The summer after my freshman year, I was an assistant coach at summer clinics for Absolute Volleyball Club. I coached a team at an in-clinic tournament with third through sixth-grade girls, organized and implemented group drills focused on enjoyment and improvement, and collaborated with fellow coaches to engage different grades with one another. I also occasionally dog sit for my neighbor's puppy.

Hi! I am a rising senior at Vanderbilt University from Mill Valley, California! My experience working with children started when I was in eighth grade when I started volunteering with Make A Splash, a nonprofit organization providing free swimming lessons to underserved children in the Bay Area. In high school, I dedicated over 400 hours to this organization, managing it and co-founding its fall and spring sessions. My love for spending time with children developed here, and since my junior year, I have babysat every summer. I started with toddlers, and now I babysit children of all ranges (three months to thirteen years old). I am also CPR certified.
