Maddie $26 per hour for 1 child

Hi I’m Maddie and I currently work as an outdoor educator making the transition to classroom teaching this fall. I’ve worked in various childcare environments, finding the most reward from programs that prioritize outdoor experience, hands-on learning, creativity, and play. My interest in working with kids began in high school through various summer nannying and babysitting gigs, support at local in-home daycares and eventually with a local preschool. I’ve spent the past 5 years working in more structured outdoor-based school-year programs and summer camps. Within all of these roles I’ve worked with children of all ages, needs, backgrounds and experiences, allowing for me to have a deep understanding of how to support each child as an individual. I really appreciate being able to connect with all kids, and find great connection with people on the spectrum, or with behavioral needs. When working with kids, I love to find a balance between being energetic and silly with them while still maintaining respect and expectations. As an individual I could be described as silly, loud, and caring, I love spending time outside, doing all sorts of crafts and listening to live music. I am really excited to spend my summer hanging out with some cool kids and have a really flexible schedule. I’m open to consistent opportunities or occasional ones as well. If the fit is right I would also be open to maintaining a relationship into the school year for weeknight or weekend jobs. I am fingerprinted and background checked in CA, have an up to date Adult and Infant CPR and First Aid certification, a Wilderness First Aid certification as well as a Mental Health First Aid certification.

I am a law degree holder with 9 units in Early Childhood Education and several years of experience working with children. My background gives me a unique balance of professionalism, responsibility, and a strong understanding of child development. I truly enjoy supporting children in their growth, whether through educational activities, creative play, or helping them build confidence in their daily routines. I have worked with kids in different age groups and know how important it is to create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where children feel valued. Families can rely on me to be attentive, patient, and dependable. I enjoy designing activities that are not only fun but also support learning, communication, and social skills. In addition to my academic and caregiving experience, I am creative and resourceful, with skills in social media and content creation. This creativity allows me to keep children engaged with new ideas, games, and projects that spark imagination. I also bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a calm personality that helps me adapt easily to different family needs.

Ilce 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hello families! My name is Ilce, I am from Nicaragua. I have been a nanny for quite some time but I am just joining this platform. I been a nanny for over 4 years. Besides raising my three girls which are now adults. I have experience mainly with babies and toddlers, but I have also some experience with older kids. I can provide stellar reviews (upon request) What do I bring to the table? I am very reliable, I like to go out on walks with the kids, teach them new things. I also like to cook, so I have previously help other families with light meal prep, cleaning, help doing some chores while kids are napping. My first language is Spanish so I do talk to babies, toddlers in Spanish so they can receive and learn a new language. I’m looking forward to talk to you and meet your family! Don’t hesitate to ask any question, Thanks, Ilce

Ilce has helped with my two girls, three years old and seven months old. She has helped us for the last two years. She plays with them, helps us around the house, and is always available when we need her. She is very respectful, and punctual, and we always had great communication. I definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a nanny in the Bay!

KeAra 1 review
$26 per hour for 1 child

Hey Y'all, my name is KeAra, and I've been babysitting for almost a decade. I have worked with all ages and have experience with special needs children, specifically autism and Down syndrome. I currently work as a paraprofessional aid in a special needs classroom, and with school being out, I am available for full-time work. I do not drive nor have a license!! I also have experience with pets, and am willing to do light housekeeping duties

KeAra was an excellent babysitter to my two little girls for a little over 4 years. I knew her mother from work, and when I needed a babysitter, she, of course, recommended her daughter. My youngest child, 6 when KeAra started and 10 when she left, has severe nonverbal autism, and my other daughter, 8 in the beginning and 12 in the end, is protective of her little sister and not so kind to strangers. KeAra was quick to connect with them both through her kindness and gentleness, and was able to follow boundaries that I had set, and was never upset when I mothered hen'd a couple of times when she was sitting. As the years went on, she stayed kind, professional, consistent, and engaged. My daughters had many phases through those years, and at times those interests were completely conflicting, but KeAra handled them like a pro. Through tantrums, meltdowns, and changing communication styles, she even learned sign language for a couple of months to help with Ari. She never lost her cool and had great instincts when dealing with all of it. My one con is that she didn't drive, because that would've been a tremendous help, but I can say she was always punctual. I can't recall a time she was late in the 4 years I worked with her. She did outings all the time with my girls, and I always knew they were in good hands. I can not recommend a better person than KeAra for anyone who is looking for a babysitter. She is dedicated to learning about a family and a child and how best she can help. She is calm, energetic, flexible, and all around an amazing person.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
