I am booking occasional nights and daytime care as my schedule is open. I am seeking a part time or fulltime job in San Francisco, Berkeley, Albany, Oak. I am also working evening or daytime occasional care. After finishing a 14 month position a FT job with a 1.5- turning 2.5 child I had a 3 month temp job with a 1.5 year old. I have worked as a full time Nanny and Preschool teacher for 20 years in SF, Berkeley and Oakland. Truly Outdoorsy! I have enthusiastically enjoyed caring for the ages of 2-5 from age 18. Most of the families that I have worked with the past 8 years have left the area but are still fabulous references. I never used an agency. 2.5 Years I worked as nanny in Berkeley to a 1- 4 year old in Berkeley, 4 plus years recently, and numerous families in SF during 2021- 22. I cared for a 2 year old full time and the 5 year old part time. I have over 23 years of nannying experience. I started young! I have a BA in Psychology and took 8 education courses. I studied abroad in India, Nepal and Tibet. In college I worked at a daycare then started a drama club at the same afterschool program for 3 years. I assisted a Waldorf - inspired preschool, taught at a Montessori based English language immersion preschool and kindergarten in Taiwan for 2 years. I worked as a teacher for 3 years with 2-5 year olds at a lovely Reggio play based preschool in Berkeley. I have been known to have a strong constitution, good health and I very much find children funny and wise. I found my calling early on.

Hi Parents! I'm Laura, a highly educated and experienced sitter who is excited about the possibility of babysitting your children! In addition to 20+ years of babysitting experience, I am a former teacher. Although I've mostly taught middle school English and history, I've worked with K-12 students in and outside of the classroom as a site coordinator and workshop facilitator. More recently, I've worked in healthcare for six years as a receptionist and scribe. I enjoy cooking, doing art projects, playing games, playing outside in nice weather, and reading with kids. I let the kid(s) take the lead in activities, within reason, of course. ;) Both my teaching experience and multidisciplinary education allow me to effectively help with homework. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in psychology plus 38 post-baccalaureate science credits, I’m starting grad school in August for audiology (AuD). I hope to work as an educational audiologist after graduation! I have undergone CPR/first aid/AED, and Safe Environment training as required by the schools where I taught. I am most comfortable caring for kids 2 years of age and older. I love pets and pet sit so no need to worry about allergies. πŸˆπŸ• my pet sitting rates differ from my babysitting rates, so please don't hesitate to ask! I have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record. I can drive my own car or the parents’ cars if automatic I accept cash, check, credit/debit card via Urban Sitter, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal. I am willing to stay later than the agreed upon time provided that 1) the parent/guardian communicates this need with me and 2) I do not have any prior commitments afterwards. If you are going to be home more than 15 minutes past the agreed upon arrival time, please let me know. On my end, I will call or text if I am running late to a job. I require full payment if you cancel the job with less than 24 hours notice, except for inclement weather, death of a loved one, or medical reasons. If I have to cancel for illness or another unavoidable reason with less than 24 hours notice, a 25% discount will be applied to the next booking. Please don’t hesitate to message me with questions. Thank you for considering me and I hope we can work together soon! Best, Laura

Hello! I was born and raised in Austria and came to the US as an Au-pair 20 years ago, so I also speak fluent German. It's simple really, I love children and they love me. As an Aries I am an eternal child and relate to children very easily. I enjoy reading with them, doing arts and crafts, building forts and being outside. I also like to include them into chores in a playful way to keep them humble and make them feel accomplished. Communication is the biggest key for me and I love listening to my lil client's stories all day! In a nutshell I am fun, responsible, reliable and have a lot of energy. My philosophy is that your child is as much of a client as you are, I customize my care to the needs of the client. Please note I am available to work holidays but charge time and a half for those days. New Years Eve is double. Policies: I have a 4 hour minimum booking policy. CANCELLATIONS: For cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, I expect 50% of the original booking amount, which can be paid via PayPal or Venmo. EARLY RETURNS: Because I plan my time and budget around the hours booked, I ask to be paid for the entire booking, even if you come home early. LATE RETURNS: I'm usually flexible on the end time of a booking, but please text/call me if you'll be late, especially if we have not discussed flexibility beforehand. I occasionally book jobs back to back with just enough time for travel in between, and your late return can have an unfortunate impact on my schedule. For nanny shares I charge $20 per child.

β€œComplete rockstar! High energy for my son, interactive and engaging, so much fun!! Very professional and punctual!”

"We absolutely LOVE Isa β€” our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
