Booked by 4 families in Oakland, CA

Hello, My name is Tatiana, I’m 29 years old. I’ve taken numerous child development courses, in efforts to gain the knowledge to better help support the children I care for. My passion is to create a fun, safe space for children in order to occupy their time, such as art projects, outdoor play, sensory bins ect. I have nannied for several different families for the past nine years. I’m Cpr/First Aid/AED certified, I have my own car (clean record and car insurance), and professional references if needed.

Tatiana was wonderful to work with. She was professional and very caring, our son warmed up to her right away. Highly recommend!

$24 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Oakland, CA

Hello! My name is Rakita I have over 25 years of babysitting and nannying experience with ages newborn to 12 yrs. I love to have fun, play games, read and provide excellent care to my families. I love to find out what my children’s interests are and allow them to lead in their play. For the little kiddos - playdoe, music, coloring and/or making toy/lego art. A favorite of mine is making oooblek which is a wonderful goo that toddlers to 3rd graders love to make. I also love to incorporate fun meal prep activities based on a child’s food preference and allergies. So if your child would like, we can make ants on a log (celery, your preferred butter if not peanut and raisins) or we make our own S’morse minus the camp fire☺️ or they help me make cookies and we decorate them, we can also decorate graham crackers if you prefer we don’t use the oven. Looking forward to meeting you! Thank you, Rakita

This was our first time leaving our 18m old twins with someone other than a close friend or family member. We had a family wedding to attend and wanted to feel assured that the girls would be well cared for so we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Rakita's confidence, warmth, and professionalism made me feel confident the girls would handle the experience well. She came equipped with new books and toys to help keep them engaged and got right down to play and interact with them while we finished getting ready. She sent wonderful updates and photos through the evening. Best of all she was gentle and loving getting them both down to sleep for the night. I would highly recommend Rakita. She is open and easy with her love, prompt in responses, and reliable. We were thrilled to have such a wonderful caretaker for our first hiring experience.

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 29 families in Oakland, CA

Hello there! I'm Haley, an experienced childcare worker with four years of experience. I'm currently seeking a full-time nanny role or a part-time position. My experience includes teaching infant and toddler classrooms at a daycare, occasional work with older kids, and tutoring at the high school and college level. I studied Data Science at UC Berkeley, and worked as a lab assistant in computer science and data science courses. I can also assist with meal prep and cooking. As a nanny, creating a safe and nurturing environment is my priority. I enjoy my work because I can watch kids grow and develop into amazing human beings, and being a part of that process is so invaluable. Outside of childcare, I like being outdoors or cooking for friends and family. If you're looking for someone to join your family, my inbox is open to messages. I would love to chat with you!

Haley is fantastic. She did great with my gifted and neurodivergent child.

Booked by 10 families in Oakland, CA

Hello, my name is Júlia. It's a pleasure to meet you! I have a background as a former Au Pair and I'm excited to begin my journey as a college student. My experience has involved providing full-time care to newborns and toddlers, both as an Au Pair and back in my home country of Brazil, where I worked in a daycare and looked after my cousins. I am often described as responsible, patient, sweet, and calm. Interacting with children brings me immense joy, whether it's playing, engaging in arts and crafts, going for walks, or simply making sure they have a great time. In addition to my passion for child care, I have always loved animals. In Brazil, I pursued my studies in veterinary medicine because I find great fulfillment in taking care of animals. If you have any pets, I would be more than happy to extend my care to them as well! I’m so looking forward to meet you! Julia

Julia cleaned our apartment thoroughly. Highly recommend and would book her again if we need cleaning services!

Booked by 25 families in Oakland, CA

Hello Thank you for visiting my profile. 😁 My name is Nenye and I’d love to be a part of your family. I have been a Babysitter since I was 15. I am looking for a full time or part-time job. I’ve worked full-time jobs primarily with infants between 2 months to 5years and also worked part-time with children between the ages of 7-11. I’m up to par with my TB shots, flu shot, Covid shot including booster shots. I accept jobs only from vaccinated families. I’m a non-smoker and non-drinker. I love cooking and cleaning and I am also an animal lover so I would definitely not mind being around any pet. I’d be happy to provide references as well as meet or chat on the phone. Looking forward to hearing from you and I wish you the best of luck with your search!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When we leave our 2 kids (and dog) with her, we do so knowing they will be safe, happy and healthy. Nenye is smart, kind, and fun to be around, and easily matches the energy of any child. She genuinely enjoys the company of kids and they can tell! She is caring yet firm, and our kids love spending time with her. Extra bonuses - she is meticulously clean, well-organized, and communicative. I would highly recommend her for any family with no reservations.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
