Hi! My name is Jenn and my life's passion and talent is working with children! First, a bit about my experience with kids: I'm a seasoned parent to 23 and 17 year olds who are turning into caring, conscientious and responsible adults who are excellent students with incredible work ethic. I'm proud of raising these two as a single parent! I currently work as a middle school teacher. Prior to that, I ran my own childcare business in my home for toddlers. It was pure joy to work with my little learners and the whole family to create a happy, warm, safe, nurturing environment for them to grow, learn and play! I hold a CA teaching credential and I have taught elementary and middle school grades full time and have subbed K-12. I have the gift of natural attunement to children and connect with them easily and joyfully. I also have the rare ability to work effectively with babies through high school students. I am highly intuitive about children's feelings and needs and I respond sensitively and appropriately. Children simply bring out the best in me! I have an upbeat personality, a playful sense of humor, and children trust me and connect with me easily and with joy. I love discovering/encouraging what interests children have and designing activities or finding books that match their interests. I particularly love helping children connect with nature, both in spending time outdoors and in projects using natural materials. If there is the opportunity, I like to bring these interests to my babysitting work and I also have a huge collection of children's literature and bring books with me to my sits. Further, I am highly experienced in working with children from all backgrounds, cultures and special needs, including autism. Since I've taught early elementary and middle school, I can help with homework if needed. I use a positive discipline approach with my own children and the children I work with. I'm adept at teaching social and emotional skills and I love helping children learn how to communicate and to understand and express their feelings to others including working out conflict as necessary. About myself, I have an abundance of things I love to do, which include healthy cooking, knitting, making jewelry, photography, book club, reading, writing, my pets, and Bay Area fun with my kids! I look forward to working with your family!

Hi all, My name is Mmadi! (Yes, with two M’s! Lol) I am a 31 year-old alumna of California State University - Sacramento, where I earned a degree in Business Communications and Marketing with a minor in Africana studies. I come from a large Nigerian family and I’m the second of five children. Growing up, my mother, who is a labor and delivery nurse, taught me everything there is to know about infant and child care and development. I worked full-time as a professional nanny from 2020 to 2024. When I began with the family, they had a 3-month-old. During my tenure, I also cared for their second child who was born in 2023, raising both until my departure. I have a wealth of experience in babysitting my younger siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends. In addition, I have taught Sunday school and independently managed the children's day care at my church for almost nine years. Taking care of 5-10 children every Sunday ranging from newborns to 10 years old in age. During my time in college, I completed numerous child development and psychology courses. I also have a basic understanding of the Spanish language, having taken three years of it in high school. I have been an UrbanSitter member since the summer of 2016 and have worked with over 700 families, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Friendly reminder: rates range based on distance, age, job duties etc

Most recently provided full time care for 2 girls ages 2 and 4. Spent summer of 2019 with 2 boys ages 2 and 4. Full time work caring for a baby girl from 4 months to 2.5 years with the addition of her baby brother when she was 18 months old. 2 summers (2[removed]) caring for a 6 month (and then 18 month) little boy. Part time work for two boys ages 1 year and 4 years. A year of volunteering for a preschool caring for 5+ kids at a time, sometimes on my own. Can provide excellent references. Great with children and an excellent communicator with parents.

Hello! I was born and raised in Austria and came to the US as an Au-pair 20 years ago, so I also speak fluent German. It's simple really, I love children and they love me. As an Aries I am an eternal child and relate to children very easily. I enjoy reading with them, doing arts and crafts, building forts and being outside. I also like to include them into chores in a playful way to keep them humble and make them feel accomplished. Communication is the biggest key for me and I love listening to my lil client's stories all day! In a nutshell I am fun, responsible, reliable and have a lot of energy. My philosophy is that your child is as much of a client as you are, I customize my care to the needs of the client. Please note I am available to work holidays but charge time and a half for those days. New Years Eve is double. Policies: I have a 4 hour minimum booking policy. CANCELLATIONS: For cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, I expect 50% of the original booking amount, which can be paid via PayPal or Venmo. EARLY RETURNS: Because I plan my time and budget around the hours booked, I ask to be paid for the entire booking, even if you come home early. LATE RETURNS: I'm usually flexible on the end time of a booking, but please text/call me if you'll be late, especially if we have not discussed flexibility beforehand. I occasionally book jobs back to back with just enough time for travel in between, and your late return can have an unfortunate impact on my schedule. For nanny shares I charge $20 per child.

“Complete rockstar! High energy for my son, interactive and engaging, so much fun!! Very professional and punctual!”

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
