Warm, present family assistant who has worked in San Francisco, New York, Paris, and London I have an MBA and experience with children of all ages, including as a teacher, and am vaccinated and CPR + First Aid certified. I love arts and crafts, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, building, books, games, puzzles, music, and more. I’m experienced with diverse learning types and adaptable to individual needs and unique situations. Also skillful in watching multiples. Flexible schedule and enjoy helping with travel, overnights, organizing, errands, housesitting, pet care, meal prep, housework, homework, tutoring, pick-ups / drop-offs, etc. Interested in estate manager, chief of staff, executive assistant, and personal assistant roles as well! In my free time, I love biking, hot springs, and exploring the coast :) *CANCELLATION POLICY* Please provide 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or reschedules. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full amount originally booked. I won’t cancel unless absolutely necessary, and appreciate the same, as last minute cancellations make it difficult to schedule my time with other families. Thank you!

Jen babysat for my 4.5 and 1.5 year olds. Sweet, easy going, on time, jumped right in, and handled my younger one’s stranger danger well. Recommend!

Booked by 14 families in Oakland, CA

Hello to all the parents out there! My name is Tye (the little ones call me Miss Tye) and I am originally from Sacramento, CA. I have been living in the Oakland Millsmont area for a little over four years. A little about me— I have a very bubbly personality and I am extremely creative; even my friends call me Miss Frizzle from Magic School Bus! From having fun creative time to having garden lessons or playing sports at the park, I always put my best effort forward. I started my career in child care at the age of 16 where I worked at a in-home daycare for 2 years that had kids ranging from infants to 13 years of age! I continue to be a regular sitter for three families; all of which I’ve been with for multiple years and have connected with through Urban Sitter. I also love to deep clean homes and have had that be my primary role within services like IHSS (in home support) for those who did not have the capacity themselves.

Tye is an amazing childcare provider. Our sweet boy was so excited for her to come. She was punctual, even super early, and did fun things with our son like picnics and arts and crafts. Did I tell you she stayed during multiple 13/14 hours nursing shifts, and she was still as energetic when we walked in exhausted. Tye is definitely one of our favorites 💖

Hello families! I’m Juliana and I’ve been working with kids of different ages over 5 years now ! During this time I have been connecting with amazing families with I’m still in touch and that are willing to be my references if you need. I consider myself patient, resilient and joyful! I also value having an open and honest communication with parents. I love engaging in good activities with the children, and I appreciate a lot of their creativity. I am also comfortable assisting with tasks like meal preparation, carpooling, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. I’m also super comfortable with pets! Currently I’m working for 2 families in a part-time position where I play a mother’s help and nanny. The kids are different ages from 6 months to 5 years. Right now I’m open for occasional jobs during evenings and weekends. If that is something that interest you please don’t hesitate to contact me ! :) Thank you!

Juliana did a wonderful job! She made our kids feel instantly at ease and was able to get them to sleep no problem. Would highly recommend her.

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 27 families in Oakland, CA

Hi, I'm Jennifer and I'm 43years old. I live in San Francisco, Ca. I have been taking care of children, with and without special needs, for over ten years now. I have over 32 units completed in child development, and work as a head teacher for Tinycare at Mission Bay Infants. I have extensive special needs experience! I have current Covid and boosters, CPR, First Aid, TB, DPT and Flu vaccine. I am experienced in food allergies and organic diets. I also know basic sign language, and have worked with families who use the sleep training method. I pride myself in providing engaging and stimulating activities instead of having children sit in front of a tv all day. I have worked as a live-in, live-out and on-call nanny. Some of my favorite activities to do with young children are singing, fingerplays, lots of reading (I love to read!), going on outings to parks, musuems, etc. For older children I love to incorporate activities that have an educational value too, like learning about history, science, etc in a fun and exciting way. I also do lots of art projects and music. I have quite a collection now, both from working in a school, different families and materials I have purchased. Children who I meet are always super excited to go through my "nanny bag" which I prepare for each family depending on the age of the children. Some of my interests are reading, writing, swimming, bike riding, going for walks and spending time with family and friends. I have excellent references and a resume available.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
