I am 63 years old and originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. My name is Iva. In Bulgaria I have graduated from Technical University,I have pedagogy courses. Now I live in Berkeley with my daughter and have worked as a custodian of both children and elderly for the past 15 years.Both my own granddaughter and the little boy I have looked after for the past 18 months have been 2mos-2yr old during the time of my care. I took care of two children together once a week. They will no longer need my help as the girl goes to pre-school, so I'm looking for another job / family I can work for. I respect all styles of parental care and focus on providing lots of love and affection and engaging children in games, imaginary games, books, and so on. I love to play them outdoors and use every opportunity to communicate with others. I am a good chef and prepare fresh, healthy dishes for the child every day. It can also help with light housework. I love kids and they love me. As a carer, I am responsible for my work, creating a safe environment for the children and making them happy. Also, I am active, intuitive, empathetic and very organized. Apart from English, which I speak at a comfortable level, I am fluent in Italian, Bulgarian and know intermediate level Russian. I would love to find a new family to help and have a relatively flexible schedule (prefer Mon-Fri, but could also consider weekend days as an alternative). I am open to taking on multiple kids in a nanny-share setting. I would also consider offering care for specific days.
