Hi families! I'm Colin (32), and I have plenty of hands-on experience with children ages 1-9, and I especially enjoy working with curious, imaginative kids in the preschool and early elementary stage. I also have experience as a youth group leader at the JKC and provided piano tutoring for children ages 4-10, which strengthened my patience, structure, and ability to encourage kids in a positive, engaging way. I specialize with screen-free activities like reading, Montessori toys, simple crafts, outdoor play, and positive routines. I also have hands-on experience with children that are shy, neurodivergent, or have ASD. I have extensive experience with play-based learning, outdoor activities, crafts, reading, meals, potty training, sibling dynamics, and bedtime/bathing routines - which are honestly all of my favorite parts of childcare. I'm CPR/First Aid certified, Home Care Aide (HCA) certified, fingerprint background checked, TB cleared, have a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and an Aerospace Engineering degree from SDSU. If you're looking for someone kind, responsible, and genuinely invested in your child's well-being, I'd love the opportunity to help your family!

Thanks to Colin, my daughter and I truly had a fantastic memory during my business trip to La Jolla where he was taking care of my daughter while I was at a conference. Colin is kind, fun, patient and was genuinely engaged with my six year old daughter Emilia. He came fully prepared and worked out an entire program for her. He brought a handmade diary to record daily activities together and a tool kit with toys and books for entertainment. Colin truly stands out as someone reliable, punctual and approachable. He communicated needs and expectations clearly upfront and was very thoughtful about making this an enjoyable experience for my daughter. She truly enjoyed spending time with Colin and I trusted him completely, especially coming from out of town. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any family looking for a dependable and caring sitter, whether at home or while traveling.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
