Hi! My name is Kayla, and I am an enthusiastic college sophomore studying pre-nursing. I play the cello for college, and have been a cello instructor for five years, so I have plenty of experience working with and teaching younger aged kids to middle school aged kids. My own niece is an energetic and silly two-year-old who loves Mickey and Bluey and loves playing and drawing, and I love caring for her. I am Basic Life Support certified as well as being certified as a nursing assistant, and I love the reading, watching movies, going to the beach, playing board games, and baking!

Kendall 1 review
San Diego
$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in San Diego, CA

Hi, my name is Kendall and I’m a second year at UCSD! I am offering childcare, pet care, and household services. My brother was born when I was 10 and our parents were/are often gone (nurse and firefighter), so I’ve helped raise him since he was born- getting him ready and driving him to and from school, activities, putting him to sleep, etc. I’ve been babysitting for other families since I was 13, including babies around 1 year old. This past summer I nannied a 12 month old and 16 month old, which consisted of feeding/changing, driving to daycare, helping around the house and cleaning pump parts. I’ve taught swim lessons at UC Berkeley for the past 4 summers, as well as private lessons, for toddlers and kids of many ages, and am first aid and CPR certified :) I’m also a HUGE animal lover: I raised my own baby dog since 7 weeks and she’s now 5 and a half and the light of my life. I’ve pet-sat many dogs, cats, and even birds. I’ve had my license since May of 2022 and have a reliable car that I can use to drive kids and fur babies if helpful. I’m happy to provide references for any of these services, and look forward to meeting you and your little ones! 🩵

Kendall came to the rescue when I was planning a trip to San Diego and needed a sitter for my 4 month old. She responded promptly to my message on the app and we were able to schedule a phone interview quickly. She is CPR certified! And arrived exactly on time. The day of the job I spent about 10 minutes making sure my fussy baby wouldn’t stress out Kendall. Not at all. Kendall was calm and in control of the situation, took baby for a baby wearing walk and I was able to leave for my event confident that she would be a competent caretaker. Before the gig we went over qualifications and worst case scenarios, and she had great responses. I asked Kendall to send me pictures while she watched my baby and she did. 10/10 I know who to hire next time I’m in San Diego with my child! Kendall is so sweet she is the best.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
