Hi there! My name is Brittany but my preferred name is Roman. I am a Career Nanny new to Urban Sitter but not to childcare. I spent 12 years growing and working alongside a family in SF so my reviews on Urban Sitter are limited. This past year, I've been working full-time with a wonderful family caring for a 3 year old and a 10-month old, (in addition to part-time hours with two other beautiful families). My full-time family relocated, so now I'm looking to partner with another family (or nanny share) full-time & preferably long-term☺️. A little about me: I have 16 years experience in childcare, 14 years experience as a nanny, 6 years working for a Waldorf/Montessori inspired toy store, 2 years as a pre-nursing student (while working as Certified Nursing Assistant), and experience working as an administrative assistant for an outpatient rehab facility. I have a B.A. degree in Health Administration with focus on health law, epidemiology, and communicable diseases. I graduated with high honors (Magna cum laude) in December of 2021. I spent 2 years as a residential counselor for two co-Ed youth group homes in Concord and Hercules, CA. I have completed and attained multiple certificates of training as part of the, "Foster & Kinship Care Education Program" at Diablo Valley College (These trainings helped develop my understanding and knowledge of child development & attachment, how trauma affects the grieving process, and how to deal with the effects of child behavior) along with college courses in psychology & child development. I have experience with children and the following: Asthma, Sickle Cell Anemia, Obesity, Diabetes, ADD, ADHD, Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, ARFID, &severe food allergies (I have experience with vegetarian and vegan diets as well). In my free time: I am currently volunteering as an Adult English Literacy instructor for Project Second Chance (a program offered by Contra Costa County Library Services) using online platforms. I'm an avid camper/backpacker/hiker & outdoor enthusiast. I organize and run my own women's active group (BAQWAG) along with events for many others. I love theater, art, books, gardening, conservation, travel, and learning different languages. With your child: I'm adaptable to all teaching techniques. If there is specific model you use for parenting please let me know. Aside from that, we tend to do lots of art, reading, outdoor activities & Library/community/cultural events.

Roman is very caring, reliable, and calm. Our kids took to her immediately. We have worked with Roman for more than a year and have always felt our kids were in great hands!

Carly Oakland
$35 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Carly and I'm 29 years old. I have watched many kids over the years since I was around 14, as I used to babysit - and still babysit - my 2nd baby cousins and I have also babysat professionally through the Trusted app from August 2017-December 2017 and had to briefly take a break since I went to study abroad the following semester. I’ve babysat kids from months old up until about 7 years old throughout the years, though. I am back and ready to spend time with these sweet, imaginative kids! I love spending time with babies or kids because they have such amazing, intelligent minds and I love to watch them grow whether it is by height or through improvements in their education or just through their personality. I am really into arts and crafts and love to be active, so keeping up is really no problem for me. I can speak a bit of Spanish if you’d like me to speak with your child in conversational Spanish :)

Booked by 3 families in San Francisco, CA

I'm 29yo and I live in Oakland. I have been working with kids for over 6 years and I have experiences with all ages (from newborns to teenagers). I have a nice background with kids, since I'm a Registered Nurse in Brazil and specialist in pediatrics and worked for 3 years in children's hospitals. I'm fully Covid vaccinated plus booster, flu shot and TDAP. I have great references who will be happy to talk with you, I'd love to share more infos, send me a message if you are interested in talking. I appreciate your time.

Ana Luisa has a very sweet and calm presence and my kid had a great time hanging out with her and looked forward to it the night before, which is surprising since she has some separation anxiety still. Ana Luisa took our kiddo out to the park every day and kiddo came home happy and excited and very ready for her nap! I really appreciated that Ana Luisa has her own car so she's able to go on adventures. She was always on time and easy to communicate with. I highly reccommend Ana Luisa for any of your childcare needs.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
