I'm have recently started teaching at a preschool in the city. I feel so fortunate to have my dream job. In the past I have been a nanny, sitter, and tutor for many families. I am currently sitting on occasion. One of my most rewarding experiences has been teaching a child how to read. I like to be an active babysitter. To me this means minimal screen time and lots of different activities with the kids, such as, storytelling, building forts, drawing, and cooking/baking lessons. Outside of babysitting, I enjoy cooking, and reading (especially Historical Fiction and Non-fiction). I also love to draw and paint. My best/ideal Sunday (pre-Covid) usually starts with yoga and the Farmer's Market, and ends with a dinner party where I cook for all my closest friends. I was a full time nanny for a little boy, and also helped prepare his slightly older sister for school and picked her up at the end of the day. I’ve been with them for 4.5 years and am currently looking for a part-time or full-time position. I have over 10 years of experience caring for infants and toddlers. A typical day with a baby includes breakfast, a bottle before the morning nap, lunch with solid foods, and another bottle before the afternoon nap. I also make it a priority to get outside every day— whether it’s going to the park or library for story time — so they can get fresh air, build social skills, and interact with other children.
