Ellen has been such a gift to our family and to our son, Mason. She is reliable, communicative, and flexible with scheduling when given notice, and is consistently on time. She has many families that she helps with and is in high demand! She brings a confident and has vast experience caring for kids. She has a warm, faith-centered personality, is funny and down to earth, and takes a true mom helper approach—helping around the house, keeping things tidy, and noticing details like when Mason’s skin need. Her caregiving style is attentive and she teaches children life skills. I really like that she does things for the babies brain development. She offers thoughtful advice from her own experience, and is also open and respectful of our parenting style. We highly recommend Ellen to any family looking for a dependable, loving, and proactive caregiver who will treat their child as her own!

Booked by 26 families in San Francisco, CA

Hi families! 👋 My name is Nayla. I’m 29 years old and currently looking for my next full-time nanny position. My childcare journey began in high school, where I completed internships in kindergartens. Since then, I’ve gained over 10 years of experience caring for children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. I’m currently studying Early Childhood Education, which allows me to continue learning about child development and bring new knowledge and ideas into my work every day. I’m passionate about creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun. I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents. I’m responsible, reliable, clean, and organized. I love spending time outdoors, going to parks, taking walks, and planning fun, age-appropriate activities. I’m also pet-friendly, fully vaccinated and boosted, and CPR & First Aid certified. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your family! Warm regards, Nayla

Nayla has worked full time as my 2-year old son's nanny for the past 13 months. She is caring, reliable, and a joy to be around. When she started, he was just beginning to walk, and she helped him gain in strength and confidence with his gross motor skills. She talks and sings with him, encouraging him to express himself and speak in full sentences. Her style is very caring and affectionate, but she encourages him to be independent. She has also built his social emotional skills by introducing him to other friends. Her communication style is open and direct; I can always rely on her to raise an issue or concern, without leaving things unsaid. And my son absolutely adores her! I couldn't recommend her more, and we are so sorry to see her go when he starts preschool in the fall.

Hi, I'm Jennifer and I'm 43years old. I live in San Francisco, Ca. I have been taking care of children, with and without special needs, for over ten years now. I have over 32 units completed in child development, and work as a head teacher for Tinycare at Mission Bay Infants. I have extensive special needs experience! I have current Covid and boosters, CPR, First Aid, TB, DPT and Flu vaccine. I am experienced in food allergies and organic diets. I also know basic sign language, and have worked with families who use the sleep training method. I pride myself in providing engaging and stimulating activities instead of having children sit in front of a tv all day. I have worked as a live-in, live-out and on-call nanny. Some of my favorite activities to do with young children are singing, fingerplays, lots of reading (I love to read!), going on outings to parks, musuems, etc. For older children I love to incorporate activities that have an educational value too, like learning about history, science, etc in a fun and exciting way. I also do lots of art projects and music. I have quite a collection now, both from working in a school, different families and materials I have purchased. Children who I meet are always super excited to go through my "nanny bag" which I prepare for each family depending on the age of the children. Some of my interests are reading, writing, swimming, bike riding, going for walks and spending time with family and friends. I have excellent references and a resume available.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
