Hi, I'm Jennifer and I'm 43years old. I live in San Francisco, Ca. I have been taking care of children, with and without special needs, for over ten years now. I have over 32 units completed in child development, and work as a head teacher for Tinycare at Mission Bay Infants. I have extensive special needs experience! I have current Covid and boosters, CPR, First Aid, TB, DPT and Flu vaccine. I am experienced in food allergies and organic diets. I also know basic sign language, and have worked with families who use the sleep training method. I pride myself in providing engaging and stimulating activities instead of having children sit in front of a tv all day. I have worked as a live-in, live-out and on-call nanny. Some of my favorite activities to do with young children are singing, fingerplays, lots of reading (I love to read!), going on outings to parks, musuems, etc. For older children I love to incorporate activities that have an educational value too, like learning about history, science, etc in a fun and exciting way. I also do lots of art projects and music. I have quite a collection now, both from working in a school, different families and materials I have purchased. Children who I meet are always super excited to go through my "nanny bag" which I prepare for each family depending on the age of the children. Hi! My name is Hue (or Emily). I’ve been working with a family in the Panhandle since their baby girl was 8 months old, and she has now started preschool. I’ve been with them for 4+ years and am currently looking for a part-time or full-time position. I have over 10 years of experience caring for infants and toddlers. I’ve worked with single families, nanny shares, and siblings. The youngest baby I’ve cared for was just 2 weeks old. A typical day with a baby includes breakfast, a bottle before the morning nap, lunch with solid foods, and another bottle before the afternoon nap. During the day, I incorporate indoor activities like music, reading, and helping develop motor skills such as crawling, standing, and walking. I also make it a priority to get outside every day - whether it’s going to the park or library for story time - so they can get fresh air, build social skills, and interact with other children. I make sure everything related to the child is clean and organized, including diaper changes, washing bottles, preparing meals, and bathing before parents get home. I’ve had the joy of supporting many important milestones, such as crawling, first teeth, introducing solid foods, sleep training, standing, walking, and nap transitions. While there can be challenges - like sleep training, feeding transitions, or adjusting schedules - I’m patient and experienced in helping both children and parents through those stages. For toddlers, I help with daily routines such as breakfast, snacks, playground time, story time or music classes, lunch, and naps. I also assist with dishes and laundry when needed. I truly enjoy spending time with kids and building a strong, caring relationship with them. I love keeping children active with outdoor activities like going to the park, scootering, biking, and dancing, rather than relying on screens. I also enjoy cooking healthy meals for kids (such as meatballs, beef, salmon, and chicken), and I’m happy to help with light household tasks like dishes, laundry, and organizing children’s spaces. As a Sunset District resident and former sixth grade teacher, I am CPR trained, fingerprinted, and COVID vaccinated and boosted, as required of all credentialed teachers. I love children, enjoy holding, changing, reading and singing to, walking, playing with, swimming, going to nearby parks and libraries, and engaging children in any activity they enjoy. I created and taught a summer preschool class called Little People’s Playhouse. I am happy to help parents care for their children whenever I am available. I'm have recently started teaching at a preschool in the city. I feel so fortunate to have my dream job. In the past I have been a nanny, sitter, and tutor for many families. I am currently sitting on occasion. One of my most rewarding experiences has been teaching a child how to read. I like to be an active babysitter. To me this means minimal screen time and lots of different activities with the kids, such as, storytelling, building forts, drawing, and cooking/baking lessons. Outside of babysitting, I enjoy cooking, and reading (especially Historical Fiction and Non-fiction). I also love to draw and paint. My best/ideal Sunday (pre-Covid) usually starts with yoga and the Farmer's Market, and ends with a dinner party where I cook for all my closest friends. I have babysat for children outside of family/ family friends for about eight years. My most extensive babysitting/ nannying experience lasted about two years. I was a full time nanny for a little boy, and also helped prepare his slightly older sister for school and picked her up at the end of the day. I usually made breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the children and cared for them almost full time during the summer months. There were times when I cared for the children full time/ overnight when both parents were away/ traveled for work reasons. I have also traveled with families for holidays. I require full payment in case of a cancellation after I have accepted a sitting invitation.
