Meet Catherine, a dedicated professional nanny with expertise and a genuine passion for childcare, with two college degrees—one in Accounting and another in Fashion Design—emphasizing holistic child development with her additional certification in nutrition. In her remarkable 12-year career, Catherine has built strong relationships with several repeat families. Concurrently working with three families over nine months, she cared for children aged 9 months to 1.5 years, addressing household cleanliness and caring for pets, including dogs and backyard chickens. In another role, she spent five months nurturing a 1-year-old, dedicating 25 hours per week to create a supportive environment. Catherine's caregiving stands out with engaging activities, from park visits to craft projects like lanyard keychains, bead art, painting, and clay molding. She ensures a stimulating environment, incorporating interactive storytime, scheduled playdates, and outings to enhance social and cognitive development. Beyond caregiving, Catherine is a registered driver for HopSkipDrive, specializing in safe transportation for children aged 4 to 13. Her commitment extends to being a camp counselor at Camp Couture, teaching sewing to kids aged 7-12. Adding a musical dimension, Catherine plays bass in the rock 'n' roll band "Best Mom Ever," focusing on positive messages through songs like "Be Kind," "Be Friendly," and "Be Confident." In a personal touch, Catherine leverages her fashion design background to create personalized clothing for the children she nannies, showcasing creativity and dedication to making a lasting impact. A natural caregiver from a young age, Catherine, the oldest of two siblings and five cousins, possesses a deep understanding of childcare transcending professional expertise. Catherine brings knowledge, creativity, and a nurturing spirit to her role. Whether crafting in the kitchen, leading projects, maintaining home cleanliness, or providing safe transportation, she is committed to creating a positive, enriching experience for the children under her care.

Cat has been the full time caregiver for my two children, for over two years. She is extremely reliable, responsible, patient and caring. She has been flexible to help with pick ups for my school aged child, and she takes our toddler to engaging and educational activities during the day. I've had multiple parents and teachers from my children's school pull me aside to tell me how wonderful and engaged Cat is. Cat consistently facilitates creative projects, like making jewelry and art. Further, Cat has a wonderful, positive attitude, that makes her a joy to be around. I highly recommend Cat.

Hi! I’m Gina, welcome to my profile. I just moved back to the Bay Area and I’d love to be your nanny or date night sitter. I also accept last minute requests. I have over 14 years of childcare experience from teaching, nannying, and date night sitting. I’ve worked with all ages, infant through preteen and have a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. I’m well versed in child development and personally like a Montessori style approach but happy to tailor my care to parents preferences. During my undergrad, I researched the benefits of yoga for children with Autism and ADHD. I’d be happy to share my research, if interested. When working with families, I appreciate a team player and growth mindset. When a child makes a mistake, we learn, we grow and we move past it. I like to lead with empathy, compassion, and curiosity. Families I’ve worked with describe me as nurturing, responsible and fun. Keeping your child safe is my top priority and I will care for your child as if they were my own. When caring for your child/children, I like to let the child lead the adventure. Activities I’ve done with past families are arts and crafts, playing ball with friends, storytime at the library, music class, teddy bear birthdays, and play dates at the park. In addition to caring for your child, I like to keep play area tidy, assist with laundry, and love to make kid friendly meals. A fan favorite is Brocoli Quesadilla. Outside of nannying, I am an artist and reseller. I love to thrift, paint, create pottery, doodle, and photography. I recently got into gardening and growing an herb garden. Fresh Rosemary and Cilantro here I come!

Please read my reviews and reach out anytime. Thank you and I look forward to getting to know you and your family.

We booked Deborah to take care of our 3 yr old toddler for two days. It was a chaotic time for us we had just welcomed a baby in the same week. Deborah built trust with my son very quickly. In an hour he was clinging to her while to read him all his favorite books. She also helped us put our newborn to sleep so I could lay down for a little bit. She is very knowledgeable, she knows how to engage kids and take care of newborns. I will definitely book her again.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
