Hello! I’m Ella — a third-generation childcare worker, longtime nanny/sitter, and former preschool teacher based in Alamo Square. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of caring for children in many settings—from daycares & day camps to private homes as a nanny and home assistant. My experience includes working with multiple children of varying ages (including several sets of twins!), long-term care for neurodivergent kids, and supporting high-profile families, including the Founder/CEO of a childcare company. I'm a former preschool teacher at an Eco-Innovator & French Immersion school for children ages 1.5 to 4.5. In the last couple of years, I assisted a family with 3 kids ages 3 & under—including welcoming newborn twins! I also nannied part-time for a high-profile family with 3 kids, beginning when they were 3, 2, and 8mo. Parents and co-teachers describe me as highly attuned, creative, and communicative. I’m known for turning everyday moments into engaging learning experiences—whether it’s through rhymes and silly songs, thoughtful questions and conversations, or spontaneous storytelling. I love crafting activities that spark curiosity and joy. My childcare philosophy is rooted in the belief that everything is educational. -I believe children learn best through creativity, humor, exploration, and positive redirection. I value building off their natural interests, and I see outdoor play, art projects, and imaginative games as essential parts of each day. As someone raised near Joshua Tree National Park, I have a deep love for adventures, climbing, and bug-spotting with little ones—getting messy and curious right alongside them. As a lifelong writer, reader, and multimedia artist, I delight in co-creating with kids—whether that’s making up stories, multi-media art projects, or inventing pretend worlds. My style is warm, energetic, and fun, grounded in structure and a deep respect for each child’s individual needs and rhythms. I love connecting with kids of all ages, and nurturing their ability to create magic in everyday moments. Excited to connect with you!

Ella was lovely and great with the two toddler boys in our nanny share. She showed up right on time and took my son’s crying for mommy in stride. Would hire again!

Hello there! 👋 My name is Andy, and I bring almost 15 years of professional childcare experience (including 5 years of being a live-in nanny) working with children ranging in age from 1 month to 15 years old. I’ve been on Urbansitter since 2013! In addition to my nannying background, I have 11 years of experience as a trusted dog sitter, house sitter, family assistant and house manager...helping busy households run smoothly by offering support with scheduling, errands, organization, and day-to-day tasks. Please check out my reviews from wonderful families I’ve worked for in the past! I’m known for being nurturing, creative, and calm under pressure. I genuinely love being around children and creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for them to grow and thrive. I especially enjoy incorporating art, photography, and imaginative play into my time with kids. Whether it’s helping with homework, cooking kid’s food, preparing healthy snacks, doing kid’s laundry or managing routines, I bring thoughtfulness and care to every part of the job. I’m a non-smoker, allergy free, COVID and Tdap vaccinated, trained in CPR and First Aid. I have a clean driving record (I can drive a stick shift ;) and am very comfortable driving in the city and on the freeway. I prefer driving kids in parent’s car for liability and insurance reasons. I’m currently open to occasional babysitting, date nights, or regular positions with families who are great communicators and want someone fun and safe. Open to cash or payroll with benefits. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions and I look forward to meeting you and your family! Warmly, Andy

Hello everyone !! I'm an experienced and reliable babysitter with more of 5 years of experience. Enjoys working with children and I have excellent communication skills. I'm a former au pair who lived in the city of Cleveland Ohio for one year and then in San Francisco California for one more year. I took care of fours kids in the first place (aged 11 mo, 5 yo, 7 yo and 9 yo) and three in the second one (aged 5yo, 7 yo and 9 yo). I drove them to school, everyday sport activities and mostly played with them in their free time. I prepared meals, helped them with their homework and taught them Spanish as a second language. I'm a native Spanish speaker but also I speak fluent English and intermediate German. In addition, I have no problem working with any pets, since I love animals.

Hi! My name is Vanessa. I was born in Colombia. I’m 28 years old and I used to me a teacher. I’m offering my services as a caregiver, pet care, senior care and housekeeping. I always like working with kids, since I was a little girl. Back in my country, I study to become a teacher and work with different kids as a teacher and assistant on my internship. I was in charge of feeding the babies, changing dipper from the toddlers, create several activities like sensory games and listening exercise for the toddlers and babys. When I got my degree, I started with older kids. It was more like planning activities according to the subject that the principal assign me. I connect with most kids, I’m funny, responsable, reliable and tolerante. I enjoy doing art, science projects, walks around the park, playing basketball and baking. I’m pretty good at board games too. I grew up with pets my whole life. In my country, I have 12 cats and 2 dogs. I have experience taking care of parrots too, because my aunt have one and we do the feeding together and changing the newspaper. I’m comfortable with all kinds of pets, but my experience is with small pets like poodles or pugs.

Vanessa is awesome! She arrived at our home on time and jumped right in to take care of our 2.5 year old son. They had a great time playing together, and she left his play area in really clean and tidy condition. She clearly has a lot of experience with kiddos and was super professional. We'd love to have her back.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
