Hi families! I am a nurturing, and reliable caregiver with over 9 years of experience supporting families and caring for children from newborns to teenagers. My journey began by caring for my own 4 siblings, which sparked a deep passion for creating safe, loving, and engaging environments where children can grow and thrive. I’m currently pursuing my degree in Mechanical Engineering. I’m also multilingual, fluent in English, Pashto, Urdu, and Farsi, with conversational skills in Arabic, Turkish, and German. I’ve completed my CPR training, studied child development courses and worked as a teaching assistant at an elementary school and preschool, which has given me valuable insight into children’s growth and learning. I understand how demanding parenting can be, and it’s always been my goal to support parents by offering peace of mind, flexibility, and trustworthy care. I offer a wide range of support, including: Childcare: - Engaging kids in safe, fun, educational activities suited to their age and interests. - Experiments (like baking soda volcanoes!), arts and crafts, and team games like “Freeze Dance” and more. - Multilingual storytelling to support language development. Pet-Care: Experience with cats, dogs, and parrots in feeding, walking, or playtime. Housekeeping/ Household Care: Cleaning, errands, laundry, shopping, cooking/meal prep (including dietary needs), medication reminders, and more. I approach every family’s needs different with kindness, care, and flexibility. I am always open to feedback and focused on creating the best possible experience for families and loved ones. Thank you for considering my profile and reading. I’d love to connect and learn how I can support your family. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to chat!

Hey, my name is Elia and I’m offering child care services. My current job consists of being a waiter but I want to look for something else, I used to work for a company from the san mateo county caring for adults for about 2 years. The company’s name is IHSS. Since I used to care for kids when I was younger ( taking them to school, babysitting) and raised some of my own this seems like a great opportunity for me. I’m bilingual as I speak both Spanish and English and I would be more than happy to teach your children Spanish when caring for them. I’m a mother of two. Two boys, one 17 and the other one is 7 and I would say i have a pretty good experience with kids. Caring for children is not only something I’m good at but I also enjoy it! I can clean, and run errands when needed. I’m also okay with taking care of pets.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Elia as part of our family for the past 8 months. From the very beginning, she has been kind, attentive, and deeply engaged with our baby — always playing with her in thoughtful, age-appropriate ways that support her development. With our permission, she has also been teaching our daughter Spanish, and it’s been so exciting to hear her respond to familiar words in both languages. Elia is extremely responsible and always punctual. She’s respectful of our routines and values, and she’s proactive in helping reinforce positive habits around eating, sleeping, and motor skills. When our daughter naps, she kindly offers to help with light housework — without ever needing to be asked — and we so appreciate her initiative and reliability. We’ve also noticed and admired that she’s never distracted or on her phone; her attention is always focused where it matters most. More than anything, Elia truly feels like a part of our family. Our baby absolutely lights up when she sees her. We trust her completely and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a nurturing, trustworthy, and experienced caregiver.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
