[Limited availability] Hello Families, My name is Lia, and I’m a 31 year-old childcare professional living in San Jose with my husband, two hamsters and a Dalmatian dog. I used to work as full time nanny and then during the week as an early childhood afterschool instructor for the past 3 years but I transitioned back to child caregiving recently. I’m passionate about supporting children’s growth and development, with over 10 years of experience caring for kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. Why Families Choose Me: -Over 10 years of childcare experience, including newborns, infants, toddlers, and pre-teens. -5+ years of experience in the U.S., with a focus on nannying, teaching and occasional babysitting. -Master’s in Early Childhood Education. -First Aid, CPR and Mandate Reporter certified with annual update training. -Fluent in Portuguese and English, with conversational Spanish. -Comfortable with swimming pools, pets and providing light housekeeping (vacuuming, laundry, simple meal prep). -Experience with exceptional needs in both home and classroom settings. A Little More About Me: -Newborn Care Specialist certificate (but I rarely take care of newborns since I also work with school aged kids and need to be mindful of illnesses). -Fully vaccinated (COVID, flu, Tdap and others), boosted, and happy to wear a mask as needed. -I do not drive children, but am happy to assist with local activities and walking distance school pickups if needed. -I bring a nurturing, creative approach to caregiving and enjoy helping kids learn through play and exploration. I’d love the opportunity to support your family and help your children thrive. I look forward to connecting with you soon! Thank you for considering me. Best, Lia

Hey, my name is Elia and I’m offering child care services. My current job consists of being a waiter but I want to look for something else, I used to work for a company from the san mateo county caring for adults for about 2 years. The company’s name is IHSS. Since I used to care for kids when I was younger ( taking them to school, babysitting) and raised some of my own this seems like a great opportunity for me. I’m bilingual as I speak both Spanish and English and I would be more than happy to teach your children Spanish when caring for them. I’m a mother of two. Two boys, one 17 and the other one is 7 and I would say i have a pretty good experience with kids. Caring for children is not only something I’m good at but I also enjoy it! I can clean, and run errands when needed. I’m also okay with taking care of pets.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Elia as part of our family for the past 8 months. From the very beginning, she has been kind, attentive, and deeply engaged with our baby — always playing with her in thoughtful, age-appropriate ways that support her development. With our permission, she has also been teaching our daughter Spanish, and it’s been so exciting to hear her respond to familiar words in both languages. Elia is extremely responsible and always punctual. She’s respectful of our routines and values, and she’s proactive in helping reinforce positive habits around eating, sleeping, and motor skills. When our daughter naps, she kindly offers to help with light housework — without ever needing to be asked — and we so appreciate her initiative and reliability. We’ve also noticed and admired that she’s never distracted or on her phone; her attention is always focused where it matters most. More than anything, Elia truly feels like a part of our family. Our baby absolutely lights up when she sees her. We trust her completely and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a nurturing, trustworthy, and experienced caregiver.

We had a wonderful experience with her! She was warm, kind, and gentle with our baby, and we really appreciated how proactive and attentive she was. She asked thoughtful questions about our preferences and how we usually care for our baby, while also being very receptive to following our routines and the way we like things done. She was easy to communicate with, and we felt very comfortable having her care for our baby. We would absolutely love to hire her again!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
